SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)

Impossible to load!!! -- 2010-09-10
This is my second sandisc MP3 player. I love everything about it, but I cannot get music loaded on it. I have my music saved to I-Tunes with the help of my kids(I am personally not computer savvey). I have had 4 people try to get the music I have saved over the last year, all ready to load, and noone has been able to load it. This includes my sister who is a computer systems analyst of 30 years. My husband maintains all our computer systems in our office, same result, dead end. It is my understanding you have to save the music to rhapsody in order to download it, but I have hundreds of songs on Itunes. I am going to save myself further frustration and buy an ipod for a lot more money. I love to run to music so I guess it will be worth it, but I feel I wasted my money here. Too bad they cannot overcome the compatibility issues. I love everything else about this device.

Don't buy this if you sweat -- 2010-09-10
I had high hopes for this device after my ishuffle stopped working. The first thing I noticed was that if I used a different pair of headphones, the connection was bad. I have to keep moving around the cord so that I can actually hear the music.

Next, if my sweat happens to get in it, it stops working. Not very practical for work-out use. The volume control no longer works. I'm assuming it has something to do with me sweating (never had a problem with the ishuffle until the battery died).

And, lastly, the battery doesn't last as long as it says, and the battery indicator is off on how much juice it has left. I hate working out without music, and this thing has left me high and dry many times. Thank God apple came out with the old ishuffle model again, I just wish it wasn't $50....but I'd rather spend the extra money and have the thing actually work!!!

SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB Video MP3 Player (Black)SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB Video MP3 Player (Black)

SanDisk all the way. -- 2010-09-10
I love just about everything with the player having used SanDisk previously. I received my first one as a gift and since then it has been the most reliable player I know. The features are great in comparison to that of an I Pod I find. It is nice to not to have to use software to upload music unto a player. Just drag and drop in the music folder.

The only problem I am experiencing so far is that even though it says compatible with most video files. I have not been able to easily transfer any video onto it. From avi. to mpeg4 it seems to give some issues.

As for the earphones, you will need to buy a new one, fit is a bit uncomfortable and music sounds a bit muffled in comparison to when I use my other creative headphones.
Do wish they used one of those fake little plastic micro sd card for the slot to avoid it being exposed all the time to dust.

Nice small Mp3 player -- 2010-09-09
This is a great little Mp3 player and functions exactly as specified. As good as or better than ipod nano. Make sure you turn off album art display in the settings though, or else the album selection menu is horribly slow!

Very tiny -- 2010-09-07
This mp3 player is very portable, it is about the same size as my car remote. It holds 8 gb and is expandable. I recommend this to someone who wants a small, reliable mp3 player without the extra bells and whistles. It does what it needs to do, and is designed very well for that purpose.

Add Rockbox to have a Great Player -- 2010-09-03
I have great luck with the Clip. Great battery life. Not real happy with the Santa firmware. No file browser. Limited control. Add the pitch issue and the Clip is just OK. Add Rockbox software to the Clip and all issues are gone. Control for every player feature..sound, pitch, and controls. Rockbox for the clip is currently in a "unsupported" mode. USB transfer is not supported under Rockbox. When the clip is connected to a PC or laptop. The normal Clip firmware runs. I move whatever files that I want over the the Clip, disconnect the Clip, and turn the Clip off. When the Clip is turned on again, Rockbox boots...sound is great!

timzrv review of sansa clip -- 2010-09-11
The first one I ordered never arrived, due to a shipping problem with Amazon. The second finally arrived after 3 e-mails to Amazon.
The player is great......very small and light. Also fairly easy to
use ......but the best thing of all is the terrific sound. Its hard to believe that sound coming from this little thing. Very happy with it
overall........and, its better and MUCH cheaper that the I-thing!!

SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 4 GB MP3 Player (Red) -- 2010-09-08
It is amazingly small and portable, the sound is great. Only
disadvantage: it is somewhat difficult to maneuver, one needs to
spend time to learn that. I would however recommend it highly.

Great -- 2010-09-09
I loved this little device. I needed this for the gym when I was working out and it did its job. The sound quality is great as well. I never used the download software, however I used was my memory chip which had music on it already and I was ready to go. This was a great buy. The price is great no need for a fancy IPOD. This does the job.

Works great -- 2010-09-08
Nice little player. Super easy to use. I give it 5 stars. The only issue I have is that the headphone is beginning to fall apart by the jack. I don't use the OEM headphones that often. I have separate headphones for running and a different one for cycling...but for some reason, the OEM headphones are beginning to show wear. I only use the OEM headphones when I'm listening to music when I go for walks.

I actually really like the way the OEM headphone feels in my ear. The sound quality isn't bad at all! Anyone know where I can order another pair of OEM headphones?

battery life -- 2010-09-05
I had to replace my old ipod shuffle since my wife repeatedly washed it in the washing machine and it finally died. I did not like current ipod shuffle design with no buttons on the player and hate standard ipod headphones with ipod controls. So I picked up Sansa Clip+ from local Best Buy.
I fill it up with music by using drag and drop from iTunes playlists and works ok. I use the player primarily for listening music while exercising outside. The players is ok for that thanks to the small size and convinient clip on the back side.
My main complaint about the player has to do with inadequate battery life including noticeable drain when player is not even being used.
I downloaded the most recent firmaware update from sansa website today and going to see if it helps at all.
FM radio quality is not great.

Indestructable -- 2010-09-05
Great little player,,took it out on a Run with me,,I Dropped Player and Earbuds in a Large Puddle of Water,,The nest day it worked fine.

Awesome! -- 2010-09-08
This MP3 player is terrific! Easy to use, simple navigation and, what I love most about it, it works great with Linux! No special software required to use this item with a Linux operating system. I, myself, use Ubuntu 9.04. Plus, the battery will even recharge while you have the player connected to your computer. Beats both my first mp3 player, which took a singel AAA battery (this is my 2nd mp3 player) and my old Virgin Mobile Slider Sonic's file transfer feature, which actually drains the battery while it's hooked up to the computer. I highly recommend this product!

Now with RESUME feature! -- 2010-09-07
Now that this product is at the stage where there are bargains and refurbished, I have adopted it and retired my m250s (like the one I reviewed previously). This tiny unit performs just as strongly as those did. I have no problem keeping the non-changeable battery charged. And with this generation, one can switch from playback to FM, and then go back to the recorded matter where one left off. Lack of that capability (except with Audible files) was my one big galling gripe with the earlier generation. This is a delightful product!

BETTER THAN IPOD!!! -- 2010-09-07
i had the fuze for a couple years now and i love it its way better than an ipod and a lot cheaper. At 1st i used it to listen to music on my way to school and during class but now i connect it to my car stereo and the sound quality is still amazing. My fuze is all scratched up and beat up but it still works perfectly fine. i plan on buying a new one this black Friday and buying a protective case for it the day i buy the new fuze lol. The best feature i think is the micro SD card slot. DON'T BUY AN IPOD BUY THIS INSTEAD U WONT REGRET IT!

The best iPod nano alternative - Probably better than the iPod. -- 2010-09-06
The Sansa Fuze is really a great portable media player. While its screen is a bit small for video, it is the best quality of any of the iPod alternatives out there.

Instead of a straight review, I'm going to compare the Fuze to other popular MP3 players/PMPs on the market, so you can make a decision based on all the data.

Creative Zen (most versions)

I won't compare Zune, because even the cheapest Zune is still in the same category as the iPod in terms of price, build quality, and compatibility. If you get an older one, it's affordable and worthwhile. Newer models are out of the Sansa's price category.

And now, my personal take on this:

iPods are nice. They're also WAY overprice for what you get. What do you get with an iPod? A severely limited device that, while ground-breaking a decade ago, is now merely keeping up appearances for Apple. An iPod does nothing that most other portable media players can't do, except play DRM media purchased from the iTunes Store. If you're tied into a lot of media from iTunes, you're pretty much stuck with the iPod if you don't want to give it up (or circumvent it). However, if you don't have a lot of iTunes Store media, you're probably better off saving over a hundred dollars and getting a media player that allows you to insert additional storage via memory cards. Really, you're getting short-changed with the iPod these days.

Personally, after having owned several iPods, ZENs, and Coby media players (junk), I can say with confidence that the SanDisk Sansa Fuze is a great portable media player. It feels good. It looks good. It's affordable. It's upgradable. It's versatile.

If you're looking to get one, I suggest you grab the 2GB model. "But that's not a lot of space!" you're saying right now, and I agree. However, the important thing to remember is that the Fuze accepts MicroSD cards, and doesn't seem to have an upper limit. That means you can upgrade your 2GB Fuze to 4GB, 6GB, 10GB, 18GB, or 34GB. You probably have a MicroSD card laying around, and if you don't, they can be found cheap on the Internet. What's more, you can SWAP the cards in your Fuze, which means your storage is essentially UNLIMITED.

So why spend a bunch more money for the 8GB model when you can get the base device, and supply your own storage upgrades for it?

I'm telling you: You'll love the look and feel of the Fuze. It's really a great device. It comes with so-so earbuds, a USB connector, and a little sleeve to protect your Fuze. It's worth the money, and I can't stress enough that if you're sick of paying an additional one hundred dollars for iPods simply because they have the Apple logo on them, then it's time to step over to the Fuze.

You won't be sorry.

Good price, great product -- 2010-09-02
My husband dropped his first one (older model) too many times, but it had been a great item for a long time so we decided to try another one. Still like it, good price, great product, easy to use.

Sansa E250 V2 -- 2010-08-30
This over all MP3 player was amazing and way better than any ipod, music is easy to transfer, sound quality is amazing, durable, and stylish... I would recommend this for anyone who wants to buy a cheap, better than ipod MP3 player. You can listen to radio and watch movies along with view pictures... I thought it was a great buy!... and lets not forget that it has virtually unlimited memory with an SD card slot. 5 Stars

Did not work at all. -- 2010-08-27
It did not work at all. And I returned it right away. Bad. Never buy again.
