Buenos para una vida fuerte -- 2010-07-30
Son buenos audífonos, no bloquean todos los sonidos exteriores pero tienen buen bajo y son baratos, la calidad de sonido es aceptable y son cómodos. Muy buenos en general.

An excellent value, but... -- 2010-07-29
Be aware that the cord is not very long ( about 54") ...you may well need an extension cord to use them in many situations.

Design Flaws Not Fatal For Me -- 2010-07-29
The many reviews for this item are basically accurate about its shortcomings. However, it works well for me. I use it while on my John Deere lawn tractor cutting an acre of grass. I always wear a long sleeve shirt for sun protection, so there's a chest pocket for the control unit, and the other connector cord easily reaches the nano in my pants pocket. The noise suppression does a good job of reducing the mower noise while delivering decent sounding music to my ears. Yes, a dead battery would render the device useless, but it's not a problem for me at home, and for travel, I'd just carry an extra battery with me. However, I discovered that my weed wacker will cause interference in the device (probably the ignition circuits), causing a loud buzz if I get the weed wacker too close to the control unit or connection wires. It's a bother but one I've learned to work around. For the cheap price from Amazon, I figure I'm easily getting my money's worth, assuming Panasonic's reputation for reliability holds true for this device.

Good sound, small, but problems. -- 2010-07-25
The sound is great for ear buds. However, none of the 3 supplied ear pieces fit in our ears. Consequently, or additionally, the noise reduction is barely noticeable on a flight. Noise reduction is not nearly as good as the cheap large pair we replaced. I finally took the ear fittings off entirely and replaced them with pieces of foam from ear plugs. Those fit better, kept the sound out better, and kept the ear buds in our ears. The supplied ear bud covers push the buds out of the ears. Panasonic, get a clue here. We haven't had them long enough to rate reliability. The noise reduction was still significantly less than the cheaper pair we replaced. I would rate it poor.

Good for little ears -- 2010-07-21
I have a miserable time finding earbuds/headphones that are comfortable. Earbuds fall out and cause my ear canals to hurt, but I don't want to wear headgear like the 80's. I asked for these on my wishlist thinking it wouldn't be a loss really if I received them as a gift as I could always return them at no cost to me...sneaky?... maybe a little. I will say they are by far the best I have tried. They fit nicely over my ears, they don't stick out and look obvious, they are super lightweight, and the sound quality is fantastic. They block out enough background noise to make listening easy, but not so much that I am deaf to the world. I have not used them for running or anything but walking they stay on well and the covers are washable so no sweaty covers to worry about. These are great for me because I have little nieces and nephews that like to listen to my ipod and I don't want to be swapping earbuds around (ick)!

i use them every time i go to the gym -- 2010-06-27
comfortable and easy to wear... the cord is nice and long... long enough for a belt clip or for wearing your ipod on an arm band. the clip on the cord makes it easy to adjust length so it's not falling over your shoulder when using different machines at the gym... not the best sound, but great for gym use and the washable pads are a great bonus!

I had bought theses headphones somewhere else and knew I like them but here the price was great. I would buy more if he had them.

Light and Powerful -- 2010-07-03
I purchased my 1st pair of these headphones from a store more than a year ago. After 10 months of severe abuse i found myself needing a new pair. These phones are light weight and sound like a really expensive pair of headphones. After months of looking in countless stores I found them here on Amazon.

Nice sound quality -- 2010-06-26
These are a bit funny, if you put the left one in the right ear and the right one in the left ear then the sound quality is no good. And they tend fit too loosely.

So you must put the left one in the left ear and vise-versa. Then the sound quality is nice, and then they fit better.

It would be nice if it came with foam covers so it would block outside noise. Also they would stay more snugly in the ears. Fortunately though, I did find an old pair of foam covers and slipped them on them and they now work great!

I use them about 2 to 4 hours every day to listen to lectures and classes and I am happy about it. The sound is very realistic, like in a theater.

But it would be better if they came with foam pads, then they would be the PERFECT ear-bud.

OK Quality for the Price -- 2010-07-27
For being on the cheaper end for over-ear headphones these are a good pair. The comfort is ok and they seem pretty durable. The sound quality is not as good as I'd expect from over-ear headphones but overall these are pretty good, moderately priced headphones.

Sounds good, looks good, feels good -- 2010-07-18
I bought these to replace the Sennheiser HD201 Headphones I'd been wearing at my desk to block out the chatter of my office mates. The Sennheiser headphones sound fine but give me a headache. I'd chosen them because they're cheap, but from the beginning I'd really wanted the retro Panasonic headphones. So the head-pinching discomfort of the cheaper pair was the perfect excuse to get the ones I wanted. :)

I love the way the Panasonic headphones look, and they're comfortable, too. As I confess in my review of the Sennheiser HD201, I'm not an audiophile, so I probably couldn't tell if the sound quality was bad unless they crackled or buzzed (which they don't). The sound is find, and they're plenty loud for my purposes; I just need the low hum of white noise. I also listen to music with them sometimes and it sounds great.

I'm very happy with them!

Very pleased with this purchase. -- 2010-07-12
I really like this product and would definitely recommend it. We use it in the kitchen, but point it toward the window to listen outside too.
The only thing we wish it would do is play our iphone. The ipod nano works perfectly.

Panasonic RP-HC700 Noise-Canceling HeadphonesPanasonic RP-HC700 Noise-Canceling Headphones

Great update over the last model -- 2010-07-23
My Panasonic RP-HC500 headphones recently bit the dust after 2+ years of great service, and even then they only died due to a mechanical failure in the headband. I'd been very happy with their performance and longevity, so I was glad to see that the new RP-HC700 headphones had just been released. I've used them for a week now at my workplace, and I have to say that these headphones are a significant improvement over the old ones. There are three major improvements that matter to me:

First, the headband is larger. This was a literal sore point for me on the old headphones; the headband just wasn't long enough for my (apparently large) head. The RP-HC700 headphones fit me quite nicely, with room to spare on the headband.

Second, the ear pads are slightly wider, and they are tapered such that the back of the pad is wider than the front. This means the back of the ear pad holds flush against my skull behind my ear, without pressing against my ear... a much better fit than my old headphones, far more comfortable, and it can only mean less noise leakage as well.

Third, the passive noise deadening of the RP-HC700 headphones is far superior to the old headphones. With the active noise-canceling turned off and playing music at a modest volume, these headphones block out so much noise that I rarely notice anything going on around me. With the noise canceling turned on, the outside world might as well not exist.

If you want to know about the sound quality, I'll warn you that I'm not an audiophile, so I can't offer any deep info... but I can say that I'm quite happy with the sound quality for my purposes. I haven't noticed any distortion from the noise canceling, there's adequate bass and treble response for me, and volume range is great whether driven from my laptop or my iPhone.

Considering the improvements of the RP-HC700 headphones over my old headphones, I would have expected to pay something closer to Bose-level prices for these... but for $100, these headphones are an excellent value. If you're in the market for noise-canceling headphones, jump in and buy these now before the seller catches on and raises the price!

Very Pleased -- 2010-07-17
I bought these after my Sony noise cancellation headphones went kaput. I over payed for them as I had a long flight and purchased them from a retailer in the airport, about what is listed as retail here on Amazon. I did test a number of the over-the-ear headphones, and liked the musical balance of these the best. They are effective using both passive over-the-ear cancellation like a set you might use mowing the lawn, but their active noise cancellation was much better than the 1st generation Sony's that I had before. They are comfortable and lightweight enough to use on long flights (Initial flight about 3 hours). Best of all, they are sonically very balanced and quite musical. I often am overwhelmed with headphones that overemphasize bass or too brassy, but these I feel strike a nice balance. My MP3 player is made by Sony, and it does not have great power, a fact that became very clear with my older Sony headphones. The sensitivity of these headphones is much better, and I got much more volume and depth out of my mp3 player. The bass did get a little lost on the airplane with cancellation on and rumble of engines, however. If that was the only environment in which I utilized them, I might have chosen a pair with a tad more bass emphasis. (I just equalized more bass). I use them in the car on long trips, and they are very effective for road noise. At $100 listed here, these are a nice set of what I would call high fidelity headphones that would easily fit in with my home theater system (which is a complement...to myself!).

NIce ones~! -- 2010-07-16
These speakers are great. Fit nicely and goo sound quality for a small size. They last me 2 years before right side of the speaker decided to die. I am not even sure what happened! They were working fine a moment back, and next day it stopped working. I am looking for another clip-on speakers now. Maybe Sony this time, but definitely this is worth your money.

Great Headphones -- 2010-07-01
I wasted a lot of money on headphones which either kept coming out of my ear or slipped off. These headphones stay put, have really good sound quality and are comfortable.
