RCA WHP141 900MHZ Wireless Stereo HeadphonesRCA WHP141 900MHZ Wireless Stereo Headphones

Does not fit well -- 2010-08-28
I just received my RCA wireless headphones. Iopend the box to find very cheaply made headpones that i found to be extremely to big for a average head size adult with no way to adjust for a tighter fit would not even stay on my head by its self, sending them back tomorrow

Not quite right -- 2010-08-11
I typically hate writing Amazon reviews, but I'll make an exception here.

First, to be fair, the sound quality and comfort is pretty good. There is minimal/no hiss if you know how to set up a sound output device properly (higher input sound, then use the potentiometer on the headphones to adjust the volume), which is not apparent unless you've played around with stuff like this before. Second, the person who complained about not getting the battery compartment open is functionally retarded; you twist in the same direction as the arrow that says "Open."

Anyway, here's why this goes 2 stars:

1. The headphones I received were clearly refurbished. This was evident by the minor scratches around the earpieces. Not really a big deal to me most of the time, but this should be explicitly and honestly advertised. Also, the typos in the tech. details should be fixed on this page.

2. Occasionally, the popping is infuriating. At short or long range, during DVDs or streamed content, at high or low volume, you will get brutally awful popping (at least I do). I suspect that this is the result of intermittent connection drop outs, and it's been really random so far. Sometimes it'll happen five times in a minute, other times it'll happen once an hour. This pushed me to the brink of returning them, but some improvement, the fact that I only use them when people are sleeping, and the general annoyance of returning online purchases made me stick with them.

RCA Ri503 Sound System for ipod -- 2010-08-24
I use it at work and it works great but one thing I don't like is the sub woofer vibrates the ipod a little loose to the point that the ipod will pause.

RCA Sound system -- 2010-08-21
This was way better then I thought it would be for the price. I am really impressed with the sound quality, it is way better then expected.

Do NOT Buy for Itouch 2G video out -- 2010-02-20
Apple annoyingly requires an Apple cable set. This cable will not provide video out signal for an itouch 2G.

Low end - with annoying random number generator ... -- 2010-03-13
I bought it to be used in the gym - it is compact and with the aid of a small utility named "iTuneMyWalkman" can be easily synchronized with playlists in iTunes (Macintosh) - it has a helpful stopwatch. Turned out that the sound quality is poor, the volume is poor, the headphones must be replaced to have a reasonable sound quality, the control is not intuitive, and the buttons are uncomfortable. HOWEVER, once I set it up, I don't need to touch the controls anymore and in the gym I don't mind to lower my expectations from the sound level - and hence the most annoying thing is the shuffle mode - it always starts from the same point. Thus, you can have 1Giga of songs, but you are always going to hear the same 2 hours of music AWAAA. To overcome that I have to forward the songs manually till you get to a song that you didn't hear last time - and as I said, the controls are inconvenient and the buttons are lousy. Next time I am going to pay additional $60 and buy me an iPod.

Lousy battery. Poor quality even at this price. -- 2010-02-17
All I wanted was an inexpensive mp3 player to use in the gym. My last one (Zen Nano) broke after I dropped it and I wanted something a little more robust. I assumed that the low price had to do with the lack of bells and whistles on this very basic player but apparently it is a reflection of the quality as well. The battery life is horrendous. It only lasts an hour or two in use and seems to drain over night when the device is turned off. The controls are difficult to use and I was unable to get it out of stopwatch mode with hitting reset. There is definitely a niche in the market for a tough little no frills player but this does not fill it.

can you hear me now...nope -- 2010-08-18
I bought this and took it home and had no trouble programming it and I even like the menus and album scrolling. But then I plugged it in and listened. And listened. If you are in a sound proof room, preferably a vacuum, you might be able to enjoy music on this player. But if there is a car nearby, or a crying baby, or an airplane, or a teenybopper, you will not be able to hear anything. It is the quietest player I have ever had. And then I plugged it into the jack of my Toyota truck, turned the volume up on both the player and the truck sound, and could barely hear the music. I have been on the website trying to figure out why they would put out a player you can only listen to in a vacuum, and I figure it must have something to do with ear damage lawsuits or something. So I went back to my old Boomgear player with LOTS of volume, at least enough to drive the speakers in my truck sound system. I was really disappointed because the RCA had all the features I wanted, like AAA battery instead of recharging so I could keep it in my truck. Too bad.

If you have a MAC - DON'T BUY THIS -- 2010-05-09
This is so completely frustrating, if you own a mac there is absolutely NOTHING that you can do with this device. I find it especially annoying that I bought this and THEN found out that it wasn't usable with a mac. Even drag and drop doesn't work on this thing. If you're going to offer NO SUPPORT for it you should make it really clear that this is NOT USABLE with a mac. Furthermore, for me the whole point of having an mp3player is to listen to audiobooks on it. This is incredibly difficult to do even on a PC with this device since it doesn't recognize any audiobooks that aren't audible.

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.

RCA Lyra Slider 8GB Digital Media Player (Black)RCA Lyra Slider 8GB Digital Media Player (Black)

Broken twice. -- 2010-06-11
I bought a unit back in January. I waited to write a review until after I had a few months of use.

The first thing I noticed about the unit was that it was super light weight and kind of cheap feeling. The buttons are stiff plastic and make an awful heavy clicking sound every time you search through the menus or playlist. All I wanted it to do was play music, I didn't care about the features nor the bells a whistles. It did this fine with excellent battery life for about two months.

After a month, the unit began to experience quirks. While listening to a song, the unit would randomly shut down. The problem eventually persisted until I could no longer listen to a song all the way through. I mailed it back and after a month, I finally received a new unit. Not more than a month later, I noticed the same problem happened a couple of times. I waited and the issue did not get worse as it had last time so I chalked it up to an anomaly.

So then two months after I had my second unit, the screen shut down and went completely black. Yes it still plays music but you cannot read the screen at all. Since the only way you can play all of the music on your player involves navigating a series of menus, the unit is now useless.

What I thought would be a basic cheap user friendly alternative to an ipod turned into a very costly and infuriating paper weight.

Anyone can use this MP3 player -- 2009-12-03
This player is AWESOME in several regards.

1. The ease of use is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. It is a plug and play device. Plug it into Windows XP, Vista, or higher PC and the computer knows how to deal with it, and gets the software needed from the ROM in the slider itself. No CD to misplace or lose. Would be PERFECT for someone like me that uses a Netbook without a CD or DVD drive

2. Porting MP3s over to the device could not be easier. Go to My Computer Log into the hard drive, directory. or thumb drive and select one or multiple directories click on the option "Send to" feature and choose the Lyra Slider as the destination, sit back and relax while the directories, files in those directories, and sub-directories are copied into the Lyra verbatim. I copied at least 90 hours of audio into the slider (14 hours of music, and five unabridged audio books. In other words I threw every MP3 file I had into it and only had it half full. the 2000 songs is a low estimate in my opinion.

3. The sound was amazing. The slider has the best and most comfortable ear buds I have ever used

4. The other reviewer is absolutely correct about the Lyra DESPERATELY needing the option to have multiple play lists. because when it starts it always starts playing the first song (unless you choose some files as favorites) If you turn off the player it goes back to the file you were playing. but multiple play lists would be VERY helpful.

5. Ease of use is a peach. If you want to delete a file for some reason you can do it from the player without the need to plug the player into the computer.

6 battery life is great! I have used it more than 2o hours in the last four days and have not seen a low battery indicator yet.

This player has three real down sides (the reason I only gave it four stars.

1. No multiple play lists.

2. I have not seen a randomiser or shuffle option in the four days I have used it.

3. The biggest downer for me is that every time you turn the devicce on it takes time you want to be listening to something to generate the current tracks in the device. They should only do this AFTER the player has been plugged into the computer.

RCA M4102 2 GB Digital Media Player/FM Radio with Voice Recording (Silver)RCA M4102 2 GB Digital Media Player/FM Radio with Voice Recording (Silver)

Ditto last review -- 2010-08-05
VERY lightweight, easy to load (drag & drop works, although there is software available for syncing), sound quality decent, full charge lasts for hours & hours of playback. Has very simple features (shuffle, repeat, can't set up multiple playlists but one "favorites" list, FM radio with scan and preset features, voice recorder). Buttons can sometimes get a little sticky, but nothing terribly annoying. Plays video well, but only holds a couple hundred kbps's at a time, so not even most YouTube videos can be loaded (although with tiny screen and low-pixel screen, not gonna want to watch the Godfather series on it, anyway). For the price, this is a nice, simple to use, easily portable, well made little mp3 player.

Good item for the price -- 2009-12-30
This mp3 player is great for the price. It's very simple to load songs, easy to use, and sounds good. The video and picture quality is poor, but you can't really expect much for only paying $40. If you want an easy to use mp3 player for mostly music, this one is great. If you want the best in quality for pictures and video, go another route. It also plays radio and allows you to record songs off the radio and store them to your music folder. I bought this for my niece as a gift and am considering one for myself now.

keep looking! -- 2010-08-07
I have been fighting with this mp3 player for a couple years (I alternate use with my ipod), and I finally have decided to just buy a new one. First off, the RCA program to manage your music etc runs poorly. The window is chopped off at the side, it's difficult to navigate and generally frustrating. The player itself is difficult to browse on. I do like the USB port built in, as we have ports on the front of our tower. The player runs on AAA batteries, which I was happy about since I could just buy a new battery if I was out and about and unable to recharge it, however the batteries die quickly.
Sound quality is just OK, and only slightly improved when I bought quality earbuds. The ones that come with the player are garbage.
Overall, it is a cheap piece of technology. I am fed up with it, and looking to replace now. Keep looking for something else in the price range with better ratings. I wish I had.

Worst mp3 player. -- 2010-03-04
This item is terrible, not only does it fail in playing almost half of my mp3's, saying i need a firmware update, iv downloaded the firmware and installed it like 7 times and it still says the same thing. Its ridiculous. You cant beat an Ipod, stop messing with the cheap stuff and spend a few extra bucks for way better sound quality and and mp3 player that PLAYS all mp3's. Dont waste your money on this.

Jet mp3 player -- 2010-05-01
I had previously purchased 2 of these. Mine works fine but my husband steped on his so I purchased another one for him. This one (after 2 weeks) will not charge and now he is unable to use it at all.

Disappointing waste of money -- 2010-03-28
Got this last summer when my Ipod shuffle's dock bent a bit so it wouldn't charge. This was cheaper, and supposed to be more rugged (splash resistant...) and all that jazz.
In short:
Buttons break off fast. Programing glitches. Conntects to the computer poorly, it's like playing roulette trying to load new media onto it or delete old stuff. It will drop connection about once every 10 seconds unless you get really lucky. It freezes up often when you unhook it from the computer quite often. The screen cracked easily.

Maybe I got a jacked up one to start with, but I'd advise DON'T BUY THIS, or keep the receipt and return policy handy!

Background on how it broke...
I have a hard time going to sleep, so I listen to audio books so I don't keep looking at the clock every 5 minutes and it helps me relax. I also occasionally jog and bring my mp3 player around the house as I do chores (including laundry and washing dishes...which carries a splash hazard). So I needed something to replace the ipod (ended up having to buy an off brand dock replacement for around $5, and it's working waaay better than this thing...).

With in the first week of owning the thing, and sleeping with it next to the pillow or under it (soft, smooth surfaces), the menu button ripped off, and the thing developed a lot of technical problems. I also had to shove the black plastic piece on the opposite side to the menu button back on a few times too. If a pillow can rip off a button, then what will a sweatshirt do? A am sure that since the button has ripped off it is now vulnerable to water. About a day or two later, I was holding it in my hands and had to free them both quickly. So, I put it in my mouth for a few seconds, and gently holding it with my teeth caused the screen to crack, so I would imagine you don't want to drop this or bump it if you trip while jogging.

The reset button on the back (actually a hole you need something long and thin to stick into it, which of course when you're jogging you always carry a push pin or paper clip...) only half works... don't buy it!

Oh yeah, I got the RCA mp3 player at Wal-Mart. I tried to reveiw it on their website, but it seems they are not selling it anymore. Not surprised.

Awesome if it worked -- 2010-08-19
This looks great and sounded great for the brief time that it actually worked. It never, unfortunately, worked as it should have and after a couple of weeks just died completely. It is under manufacturer's warranty and so I sent it in and it came back still not working.
Great as a paperweight! As an Mp3 player, I would look elsewhere.

Excellent Quality MP3 Player Lyra SL5016 -- 2010-06-16
I love this MP3 player. It is the 1st I have purchased and the ease of use was amazing. It holds all of my music and there is still room for more! My favorite feature is the slider~ when it's closed and in my pocket or purse there is no chance I will be hitting those buttons.
