JBuds J3 Micro Atomic In-Ear Earphones with Travel Case (Jet Black) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]JBuds J3 Micro Atomic In-Ear Earphones with Travel Case (Jet Black) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]

ahhh, the comfort. -- 2010-07-28
if you work in an office with other programmed drones and like to drown your co workers out. you, like me have ear buds in your skull for hours. well, i find that most brands hurt after hours of use... i broke the issue down to my ear canals are kind of small and nobody makes a tiny inner ear piece. well... till these puppies.

the ear buds arrived and to my surprise they included a really tiny (the smallest i have seen) inner ear piece among the 4 sizes of changeable ones. i had some issues getting them on. i broke out a paper clip, bent it straight and kind of levered them on. Yes, they are that small.

i was unsure how they would feel due to a lack of padding. however, they feel better than anything i have tried and i have tried a lot. Not to mention the sound is awesome. i fallowed the instructions and let my iPod play at almost the highest level for 48hrs stright to "let the driver warm up.

Q:"why not wear clamshell head phones?"
A: i hate a clamshell, that's why.

Q:"-INSERT X BRAND OF EXPENSIVE INNER BUDS HERE- feel really good and have awesome sound. have you tried them?"
A: no, i refuse to spend over $50 on headphones of any kind; unless they grant me magical powers... then we'll talk

in short: good deal, good product, great comfort and great sound. Not to mention shipping was quick too.

Thanks for a great product,
Vash

Overall Very good! -- 2010-07-28
I am a fan of JLab now in general. I received a pair of J2's for Christmas two years ago. Those were great! They lasted almost a year, then I made the stupid mistake of running with them in weather below 32 degrees! I was surprised at first when the sound was totally weird, but then after analyzing what could have happened, I realized it was the running. So I was gifted another pair of J2's for Christmas last year. Those lasted about six months, then they got eaten by the mower. :'( but enough history. On to the J3's.

Me and my family were getting ready to go on a long drive, so I was desperate to get a new pair of earbuds, and I had my eye on these for a while. After getting them, I was delighted and a little disappointed at the same time. The sound quality straight out of the box was awesome, but it wasn't perfect. The bass is tight and punchy as advertised, with just enough boom to make it perfect. The treble is perfect also. It's sharp, but not cutting if you know what I mean. The mids are what disappointed me. In comparison with the J2's, the mids are... it's hard to describe, but the best way to say it is that they are muddy. It got a little better with about 4ish hours of burn in, and after a while I got used to it, so it wasn't really a problem. Over all sound quality is 4.5 stars.

Build quality is 3 stars because after about 2 months of use, the driver came out of the housing and is attached only by the wires. They look really stylish, but it's kind of a "turn off" when they seem to break easily. It appears I am not the only one with this problem. It would have been nicer if they could have somehow made the housing all one piece.

I was really disappointed that they broke so soon, but my "affections" for JLab were given new vigor soon after. I contacted them via email explaining my problem, and they politely replied back explaining how I could get a new replacement... FREE!!!!! You send them the information, and they send you the replacement. It's that easy!

So to conclude: Sound Quality- 4.5 Stars, Build quality- 3 stars, Stylishness- 5 stars, Customer Service- 5.5 stars!

I am hoping my new pair lasts a fair bit longer. If you don't want to have the risk of breakage but want the same sound quality, I highly HIGHLY recommend the JLab J2's. But I have grown to love these buds. The customer service made up for my misfortune. If you're looking for a pair of earbuds that sound SIGNIFICANTLY better than apples, look great, and feel really comfortable, then try these earbuds!

stereo earphones -- 2010-07-30
I wear my earbuds to bed at night because I don't watch TV but listen to a nighttime radio show which is downloaded to my computer nightly, 5 hours. Other earbuds I have purchased don't last very long but the coby earbuds have been great. I will continue to order them.

I love the headphones but they stopped working already. I bought them less than two months ago. If they were more durable then they would be perfect.

Not Worth Free -- 2010-07-29
I got these bundled with my iPhone, and even free they're not worth it. They're an uncomfortable shape (ears are not perfect circles, not human ones anyway. Maybe Apple engineers have round ears.) They fall out of my ear when I'm running and even when I lay down on my back, head on the pillow they fall out. The sound is okay, standard headphone fare there.

It's nice to have volume control and mic built in, but it's still missing music controls like next/last song buttons.

does what it says -- 2010-07-28
I ordered a pair of these and received them a week later. The voice activation did not work and nobody could hear me on the phone. I sent the merchant an email and they promptly sent out a new pair. I received them a week later and they work perfectly.

Shipping was a little slow, but customer service seemed great.

Sennheiser RS120 926 MHz Wireless RF Headphones with Charging CradleSennheiser RS120 926 MHz Wireless RF Headphones with Charging Cradle

Noise, noise, noise. -- 2010-07-30
Well the noise is horrible on this things, whether it's from picking up static or from auto gain I don't know. And I don't care. The fact that it's constantly in your ears a little and when the sound on tv is low you get a lot of the static noise (can deafen you) - has no excuse.
I didn't return it because the charging station is very nice and I bought it so my wife won't bother me with blasting TV, so I don't really care about quality of her reality tv shows. But I wouldn't recommend those to anyone.

Complete Goof! -- 2010-07-29
These headphones, despite the miraculous reviews on here, don't even work with my TV! They're incompatible with the newer TV's, which don't offer RCA Audio Output anymore. These headphones are old school, and will not work on the newer model TVs. Complete waste of time & effort for me ordering these headphones. I wouldn't have liked them anyway, had my TV been compatible. Not worth the $64 price tag. They probably cost $4 to manufacture.

Good Buy -- 2010-07-27
I bought these for my 2 year old to wear so she could listen to stories on our ipod when we went on long walks. They fit her well...and on the largest setting, fit me. I'm confident they'll grow with her. I also really like the low sound setting (which is just an "extension" piece you plug into the device, then the headphones on the other end). Good buy.

Perfect product for toddler -- 2010-07-25
I purchased these a little over a year ago for my then 2 year old. Primary use was for air travel and apps on my iTouch. The fit has been great and sound quality wonderful. The head band stays put and still has room to grow. She was able to hear over airplane noise. Earpiece easily flips around (so I can double-check sound level). They are also very sturdy. Since first using them last year she uses them all the time for both apps and music (and has commandeered the iTouch as her own).

About 2 months ago they suddenly stopped working. At the suggestion of a comment found on this site, I contacted Kidz Gear customer service. I had an immediate response to my inquiry. I was able to provide them with my amazon order number and mailed the nonfunctioning set back to them. Of course, the set had stopped working within a week prior to an international trip, and I shared that with the customer service rep. Kidz Gear had a replacement set here prior to our departure.

I am actually about to purchase my second pair. Ours were broken in an unfortunate tug-of-war incident that was clearly not a manufacturing defect.

In today's age of deteriorating quality both in products and in customer service, I have been very pleasantly surprised and satisfied by both. These are a great product at a great price.

Buenos para una vida fuerte -- 2010-07-30
Son buenos audífonos, no bloquean todos los sonidos exteriores pero tienen buen bajo y son baratos, la calidad de sonido es aceptable y son cómodos. Muy buenos en general.

An excellent value, but... -- 2010-07-29
Be aware that the cord is not very long ( about 54") ...you may well need an extension cord to use them in many situations.

Sennheiser CX300-B Earbuds (Black)Sennheiser CX300-B Earbuds (Black)

"Marginal" sound -- 2010-07-30
I bought these headphones because one of my iphone's earbuds stopped working. When I tried them at first I was impressed. The sound was much better than my Iphone's earphones. I have been them using them for one month. I'm not impressed with the cord - it's really cheap. Last night I listened to the same music on my Harman Kardon 730 Twin Powered with the Large Advents - this is vintage home stereo system from the 70s. I was overwhelmed at how much I'm missing with these headphones! In fact, I came to the comclusion that the only reason these sound "good" is because they fit in your ear canal, effectively transferring sound into your hear, as opposed to my old headphones. I'm going to listen to these less and listen to my vintage system more. Therefore, I think that the sound is "marginal."
The bottom line is this: I was listening to $2 headphones that came with my phone (probably actual price to manufacture), and now I listen to $4 headphones (probably actual price to manufacture).... both are mediocre quality.

Best In-Ear for the Cost!! -- 2010-07-30
I've had these earphones for almost two years and using them daily. I could not be more satisfied with the money I spent. I use it for my laptop, my laptop, when I exercise, and even when I play my Roland electric drum set with great sound. The sound is still excellent to this day. When this pair goes kaput I'll buy another set.

Klipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating HeadphonesKlipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating Headphones

Good, but not great -- 2010-07-30
First off, my impressions of this headphone are based in comparison to the Etymotic Research ER6i, for which the Klipsch was replacing. (Link here: Etymotic Research ER6i Isolator In-Ear Earphones (Black)) I mistakenly left the ER6i in the seat on a airplane, and needed something for travel.

The positive impressions I have are that the sound was smooth, the bass was solid, and the overall sound was pleasing enough. The quality of the product appears to be good, and my history of using Klipsch products (going back 30+ years) has generally been favorable - so I would describe myself as a Klipsch advocate.

My main complaint with these is that they do not isolate yourself from ambient noise as well as the ER6i. And this was a big issue for me since my primary use is on airplanes. As one example, I ALWAYS had to remove one of the ER6i to hear the flight attendant. I don't have to for the S4. Well, I do to hear them well, but I can sometimes get by without. It may be that the three-flange earpiece that I used with the ER6i is the reason they performed better at isolation. For the S4, I'm using the large oval eartips for my use. The S4 did also come with a flanged eartip - which I tried, but they were too small and did not fit snugly. Which brings me to my second point.

The S4, despite using the large eartip, do not anchor themselves into my ear for the duration of the flight. I usually have to resecure them periodically. Once the ER6i were in, anything short of skydiving out the plane would keep them securely in place (although I haven't tried that yet.) Again, the snug three-flange eartip of the ER6i is probably inherently better.

Next on the list of disappointments, but probably still relatively high, is the sound. I must say that the Klipsch have much more established bass than the ER6i. It was pleasant to hear some solid hits. But to me, the midbass made it all the way up to the vocal range, and muddied the sound. The S4s do not have the clarity and detail of the ER6i, which above all, the the aspect of sound that I crave.

I imagine that there are a lot of people that would prefer the sound of the S4's, and would find the ER6i's as being too thin and weak at the low end. I suppose it would be a bad match for them. I do listen to rock and alternative music, and so I enjoy a solid bass. But to me, what makes music exquisite is the detail and subtlety in music, and the S4's did not bring me that. That was surprising to me, because Klipsch products in general have bright and detailed high ends - sometimes too much so.

For the same dollars, and based on *slightly* higher reviews, I thought I'd switch to the Klipsch from the Etymotic. But if I had to do it over again, I would have stayed with the Etymotic.

Great Pair of Headsets... -- 2010-07-30
I was looking for a new set of headphones to replace the generic ones that come with the iPod. These were even better than I expected. It took me a while to determine which of the rubber pieces fit me best, but now that I have I'm really happy. My only complaint is that these tend to come out of my ears easily, especially when I'm at the gym or doing anything where I sweat.

DONT BUY!!! -- 2010-07-30
when i first got these headphones every thing was good until the 2nd week of owning them one side stoped working then the other side stop working to..

waste of money dont buy!!!

great earbuds for the price -- 2010-07-30
After i purchased the Jbuds and the left channel went out on them i contacted customer service on their website. It was the most pleasant return experience I've ever had. I received my replacements in 3 working days and didn't have to pay a penny for shipping. They've worked flawlessly. So I purchased the J2's and I am impressed for the price. They sounded awful when I first plugged them in, but after a 30 or so hour burn in they are spectacular. Of course you can buy better for more money but these are my favorite in this price range($15-$30). I have the V-moda's, a pair of skull candy rasta's, and a few others. I like the J2's sound and fit the best. The heavy wire is nice also. It just seems strong. And I like how the stress points are reinforced. The plug is solid and is easy to grab. They never fall out of my ears, even when sweating. I'm a roofer so they've taken some abuse. But my main praise is of the customer service and that has become the most important thing to me. No product is ever perfect but a company who stands behind theirs will continue to recieve my business.
