Not what I thought it was -- 2010-07-12
I thought it was going to be the actual MP3 player and not just the charger. I suppose it could have been my mistake of not reading the fine print, but the quality of the charger isn't very good either. However, it was sent to me very fast, and I'm sure it was at least worth a little more than the cost I paid for it.(10cents)

Not worth the first penny -- 2010-07-27
I ordered this cable for my Ipod a few moths ago, along with an actual Apple made cable. I've been using the real cable for a while, but I didn't know where it was so good thing I had a back up in my desk right? Wrong. I took this cable out of its little wrapper, and plugged it in. It didn't work so I pulled it out of the ipod only to have it fall apart in my hands. First use ever and it broke. I would not recommend getting anything that's not made by Apple. The one that was shipped to me was not, and like I said, is a POS.
iPhone/iPod cables -- 2010-07-09
I got exactly what I wanted at an insanely low price. The only negative was that I had to email the vendor, as my order did not get shipped properly. I would have liked something extra from the vendor since the order was very late, but, otherwise, it was fine.

For the money, this is a great iPod clock stereo.
Please be aware of the following issue:
It includes adapters for recent popular iPod models. If you don't have one of a certain three or four models, you will have to order the adapter from iHome's website for $5.99 (no shipping charge). We have a 5th generate iPod 30GB and had to order the adapter. Because of this, we had to wait a few more days to use the product. I don't have a problem with this, since there are like 30 different adapters for all the flavors of iPods, iTouches, iPhones, etc. I understand including them all would be a waste. However, I would like be able to get them from iHome for less than $5.99 - maybe they should include a coupon for one free adapter with the radio. If you want more than that, well then you should pay. Just my two cents.
Overall, I'm happy with this. If things change, I'll update this review.
Alarm stopped working after a few weeks! -- 2010-07-25
After just a few weeks, the alarm no longer works. It is the same alarm that used to buzz just fine, but it just does not work anymore. Luckily, no major damage done by sleeping in yesterday (Friday). I double checked the alarm last night and it failed to work this morning as well.
Everything else is very good about it: sound quality, remote, sleek look. But bad alarm is a deal breaker, so I will return it & try another brand.

All The Way Turnt Up -- 2010-07-29
Bought this after i read majority of the reviews on here. and i wanted to try it out so i bought one knowing that if i needed to I could return it. So i said why not? I work in a kitchen a very very big kitchen, and i like my music very very loud. This is the best dock I have ever purchased. From ILUV, JVC, Panasonic, etc..this blows out the competition. yes the price is pretty up there. but if you appreciate good sounding music, loud but not distorted sounding music..dont hesitate and listen to it yourself.
Don't Try to Dock Your Iphone with a Case On it to the Bose SoundDock -- 2010-07-11
Just bought the unit. I had a problem with the Bose SoundDock Series II when it wouldn't play when I attempted to dock my Iphone 4 with it. I thought I had it seated in the unit firmly. I had tried several different docking units at BestBuy and was able to dock my phone successfully with every other unit. Bose, however, does not let you try to dock your phone/ipod with the unit at the store, you have to buy the unit based on their static demonstrations. I decided to give it a try as it seemed the most powerful, effortless sound (I tried the Klipsch and a couple of Sony units). I brought it to my office and it simply wouldn't play despite my belief that it had been set in there as firmly as I could. The next day I attempted docking an Ipod Nano to the unit and it worked immediately. I realized that my protective case on my Iphone was keeping the unit from seating properly. Case removed, problem solved. I like the sound, I'm going to keep the unit, it's really the best looking dock out there IMHO. I hadn't seen anyone else comment on this problem, so I hope this helps someone else out (I was minutes from returning it in a huff). Three stars for features, three for ease of use, 5 for sound.

This was SO EASY to set up with my Yamaha RX-V665 Receiver. The cable is heavy duty and just one plug. It worked right out the box. The sound quality is great. I can't believe I didn't buy the earlier. Definitely would recommend.

 | Onkyo UP-A1 Dock for the iPod

Received my Onkyo UP-A1 Dock (UP) which I'm connecting to my Onkyo TX-SR707 that drives with Martin Logan speakers. Noticed the thick instruction book for the UP, then saw that instructions are written in twelve languages. Connection instructions: Plug the UP into the Universal Port on the Onkyo; that's it. Plugged my iPod Nano 5th gen into the UP, pushed the Port button on the Onkyo remote, then Play and am in iPod playback heaven. Only 4 stars for Sound quality because on some songs I have to really reduce the volume because the bass from the Martin Logan sub-woofer shakes the room. Will either have to dial-back the sub-woofer or set the Nano equalizer to Flat to solve this "problem". ;>) Couldn't be happier.
Plug & Play -- 2010-07-19
Works perfectly. Just plugged this into the port on the back of my Onkyo PR SC 5507 and it started working immediatly. The Onkyo remote is able to control all of the basic funtions while my iPhone 3GS is docked, however more advanced navigations are a bit tricky (such as album search, genius play lists etc.)
The sound is excellent, however the video images are not that impressive. I believe this has more to do with the source than the actual unit itself.
Would highly recommend this product.

I bought this because my brother dropped my iKick 500 by Kicker and it's hardly a replacement. It has a few extra features, but if you want bone rattling sound you should go for the Kicker products. This is about 2/3rds as loud and doesn't seem to have as good of bass to it. Plus the iKick is much much cheaper.

I bought this radio to use with my ipod. The sound of this radio is better than the Bose wave radio I have. I guess all the reviews I read are true, as this has a great sound

Head To Head With The BEST.. -- 2010-07-27
Let me start with telling you, I am a total toy fanatic. I love my music and the way it is reproduced for my listening pleasure. I was given an iKick for Christmas 2 years ago. I like this quite a bit. I then bought both Klipsch docking stations for my 160GB iPod classic. I also have a few of the JBL iPod docking stations. All of these have good sound and I enjoy all of these placed around different areas of my home. I recently bought the Bose portable iPod docking station along with all of the accessories which help make my Bose into an incredible sound making toy !! I love the total beautiful sound it makes. I also like being able to carry my Bose along with my iPod anywhere I want. This L'il cutie ROCKS. It has a very rich and full sound about it. I listen to it while in the shower, the garage, the back yard etc. The iKick has a comparable sound to the Bose however, I cannot carry it around like I can the Bose. All things considered, my Bose wins hands down. I will keep all of my docking stations as they all have their own little niche to fill. The Bose has great sound along with its portability, it's a Big Time winner and a keeper. "Try it, you'll like it".

This wall charger is great. My iPod sits next to my bed now, happily charging while I listen to INTERNET RADIO(yes, you read that right) while I sleep. I used to listen to shortwave and that was alright(especially since I'm deaf), but INTERNET RADIO is just like the internet except it's noisy. It's a good thing I have that braille app on the iPod, otherwise I'd have no idea what 4chan sounds like. Also, I plugged my refrigerator into this wall charger and all of the food turned into unicorn meat & eggs. I didn't even know unicorns lay eggs! That's something INTERNET RADIO can't teach you!

I bought this product based merely on review of sound quality of this system. Some people went on to compare it with bose and starting blasting bose. So I had great expectation from this product. But I was disappointed that product just give a lot of sound that it can blow up the whole apartment but it is nothing in compare to bose when it come to sound quality. Bose is far-far ahead of sound quality.... and it can fill up my whole unit with crystal clear sound. I had to return this product and have to order bose and now I love my bose sounddock. I am glad I returned this product.
Kicker kicks out some serious bass and high quality sound! -- 2010-07-19
Im not Luly by the way thats my mom this is her son Brandon and im a 15 year old audiophile.
Background: i own bose wave radio, klipsch sxt igroove, im800, bose companion 3, klipsch 2.1 pro media, Klipsch KG 4.2 floorstanding speakers and uhm my dads got a mirage home theater system downstairs.
About this product: Lets see.. I had been lpooking for an ipod dock for a while now, i went to best buy to test some out (logitech docks, bose, and altec docks), i didnt find a dock that i was looking for which is a dock that has some serious bass and no distortion and that can play a wide variety of a music. Before i left the sales person that i was talking to about the docks mentioned that Kicker makes a great dock. I looked all over to test it out but no one carried it, only online dealers carried it. So without hearing it i was pretty "iffy" on buying it. I purchased it anyways at ebay new thougha little cheaper than amazon though. I unpacked it, set it up docked my ipod onto the dock put the volume on 10 and i was shocked! This badd a$$ pumps serious bass and the 3/4 inch tweeters slam down all the high notes and are nice and crisp and has no distortion at all!! I turned the treble up 1 and pumped the bass up to 6 out of the max of 9. I chanced myself and turned the volume up to 16 and boy oh boy this thing vibrates my floor while it sits on top of my bureau!! It also had no distortion which is amazing. And i was playing Rap. So its music with a lot of bass. The product isnt so portable but to me i could care less. I flew to north carolina with this tank stuffed in my carry-on (i flew southwest so it really didnt matter) it fit in a 21" carry-on too. I would say this dock beats the bose by a lot. Bose is more of direct relflect while the speakers on the Kicker are slightly angles so the sound will bounce off the wall and sound like somewhat surround sound. Overall its the best dock out there and will continue to be so great buy.
