 | SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)
Really great -- 2010-09-03 The best thing about this product is the open formats it supports. This includes not only files like ogg, flac, and mp3 files but also the fact that it uses a standard mini-usb port for both charging and file transfer and also a mini SD card to expand the memory. That means you can charge it with many standard mobile phone chargers.
The gui is good too allowing you to navigate by folder OR by artist. This is really good if you organize your files by folder.
Also, it has a RADIO.
Battery life appears a bit short, meaning that you may not be able to leave it on all day.
Great Li'l Player -- 2010-09-03 The Sansa Clip+ is a great little music player. It has good sound from ear buds, the car aux input and from a portable radio. Being a firm believer in KISS, there was a little difficultly getting music files onto the player until I used format on the player. Now it's just drag & drop. Simple. The Sansa Clip+ is a great player for its tiny size and for the price.

 | SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB Video MP3 Player (Black)
Sansa Fuze 8gb -- 2010-09-04 The item is awesome. easy to use, easy to add music too, and sounds great. Its amazing how easy it is to use the fuze compared to other mp3 players ive owned or used. Picked up a DLO armband to go with it, and its awesome when out and about, or even when im joggin on the treadmill.
Way better than the Clip! -- 2010-09-04 Bought this elsewhere way less ... no longer available BTW ...
Got clear plastic case for it ...
Got mp3 cable ...
All Rock!!!
The iNotInterested SUCKS in comparison.
Had one, returned the POS
I detested the interface on that one as not responsive.
I can use this in the car while stopped to quickly change tunes.
The TFT screen is just like your labtop > WOW bright!!!
Easy to use & picked up cheap
What not to like ...

 | SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 8 GB MP3 Player (Black)
Add Rockbox to have a Great Player -- 2010-09-03 I have great luck with the Clip. Great battery life. Not real happy with the Santa firmware. No file browser. Limited control. Add the pitch issue and the Clip is just OK. Add Rockbox software to the Clip and all issues are gone. Control for every player feature..sound, pitch, and controls. Rockbox for the clip is currently in a "unsupported" mode. USB transfer is not supported under Rockbox. When the clip is connected to a PC or laptop. The normal Clip firmware runs. I move whatever files that I want over the the Clip, disconnect the Clip, and turn the Clip off. When the Clip is turned on again, Rockbox boots...sound is great!
32GB -- 2010-09-02 I also got a 32GB Micro Sd card. The good news- an incredible amount of storage. But be warned- the refresh cycle can take up to 2 hours!

 | SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 4 GB MP3 Player (Black)
An Amazing player -- 2010-09-06 can not believe that something so small could have such a good sound and be practical. For those who need music at all times this is a good music player, no need to pay a little more expensive. I added a pair of speakers that make it a good companion in my travels. By doing sport is very dynamic and friendly.

Reasonably good value, lacks bass -- 2010-09-05 It's very small, very light. The interface is reasonably easy to learn. I've never owned an mp3 player before, and it took me only a day or two to get comfortable with the menu navigation. I appreciate the radio functionality and the fact that I can extend the memory with a micro SD card. The battery usually lasts at least 8 hours. When listening to podcasts, you can increase the speed so that you can get through it faster.
My main complaint is that the sound output is quite low quality. The bass, in particular, is very, very weak. When I play the same music file on my desktop computer, I can hear the bass very well (using same headphones that I use with the Sansa Clip+). I tried fiddling with the equalizer, but could get only a tiny improvement.
However, since I use this on a noisy bus, and since I mostly to listen to podcasts, I don't miss the lack of bass that much. Overall, given the low price, I'm content with this purchase.
One word of advice: if you use this with Ubuntu (or any other flavor of Linux), you need to switch it to MSC mode from MTP mode (see the Settings menu) in order for it to be recognized.

 | SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 4 GB MP3 Player (Red)
It was really great until it just died -- 2010-09-06 It was such an awesome MP3 player. It holds a lot, it plays really well. Lasts all day. It's easy to navigate the screen and import your songs. The recording feature and ability to add extra cards of music were a big plus.
And then it just up and died in the middle of a song. It wasn't hit, it didn't fall in the toilet, nothing. Just dead. Battery does not charge it, connecting to PC has no effect, Reset technique did not work. I had it for just over three months.
Quality MP3 for the price -- 2010-09-05 I love this MP3 player. It's easy to use, and the clip allows me to attach it to what ever I'm wearing. I rely on it mainly for my morning run, so didn't need all the features of a pricier music player. My only complaint is that "red" is actually burgundy, (I would have selected a different color.)

 | SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 4 GB MP3 Player (Blue)
battery life -- 2010-09-05 I had to replace my old ipod shuffle since my wife repeatedly washed it in the washing machine and it finally died. I did not like current ipod shuffle design with no buttons on the player and hate standard ipod headphones with ipod controls. So I picked up Sansa Clip+ from local Best Buy.
I fill it up with music by using drag and drop from iTunes playlists and works ok. I use the player primarily for listening music while exercising outside. The players is ok for that thanks to the small size and convinient clip on the back side.
My main complaint about the player has to do with inadequate battery life including noticeable drain when player is not even being used.
I downloaded the most recent firmaware update from sansa website today and going to see if it helps at all.
FM radio quality is not great.
Indestructable -- 2010-09-05 Great little player,,took it out on a Run with me,,I Dropped Player and Earbuds in a Large Puddle of Water,,The nest day it worked fine.

 | SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)
Great Buy -- 2010-09-04 The Sansa MP3 player is compact but packs a big punch! The sound quality is great; its very easy to manuever around the applications in the device, and I love that I am able to clip it onto my purse strap or jeans for easy access.
BOOK LOVERS BUY THIS PLAYER! -- 2010-08-28 NOTE this REVIEW is for BOOK listener only! BUY the CLIP not the CLIP+!
If you haven't tried the regular CLIP for books, I recommend it. Books, unlike music, average from 5 to 14 hours long. They have to be chopped to 45/60 min files for downloading. These parts do not correspond to chapters. When you stop you may not notice which part number you stopped at. When you restart the CLIP and select your book from the Audiobook folder, it highlights the last part number you were at. When you select that file, it asks you if you want to resume or start from the beginning. Also if you are listening and are interrupted you can pause and restart. If you missed what was being said, due to loud noise or your boss... you can hold down the rewind and go back to the exact spot, even if you were at the beginning of a new file and wanted to rewind to the end of the last file. This scenario happens often when listening to books. That is why the CLIP is so great. It knows the difference between a book part and an individual song when you load the files to the AUDIOBOOK folder!
WARNING !!!
Unlike the original CLIP the CLIP+ treats each Audiobook part as a separate song. If you accidentally fast forward to the next book segment (file) you cannot rewind to the previous part. You can only jump back to the beginning of the previous part and fast forward through the 45 min or 60 mins to the place you want. If you miss this place and fast forward to the next part you have to start all over at the beginning of the previous file.
The tech support does not even know that this is a problem. I was told mine was broken. I exchanged it for a new one and it does the same thing. Even if you create a play list (they recommended that as a solution) it treats each book part as separate song and starts from the beginning of each file. I have tested this against my regular CLIP using the same books and transferred the same way.
SO BUY THE ORIGNAL CLIP WHILE IT LASTS.
By the way, don't use MEDIA PLAYER to transfer, it does not recognize the AUDIOBOOK folder, you have to drag and drop into that folder with your File Manager. If you are using AUDIBLE use the AUDIBLE folder. If you downloaded library books with OVERDRIVE software make sure to transfer to the Audiobook folder.
I am a loyal Sansa fan; I had 2 Sansa Express's and 2 Sansa Clips, but this new CLIP + is such a disappointment!
SANSA why are you ignoring the growing Audiobook market and downgrading a such great product?

 | SanDisk Sansa Fuze 4 GB Video MP3 Player (Black)
good mp3 player -- 2010-09-06 this is a very good mp3 player. it has long battery life and goes any where. i have brought this snowmobileing with it its been dropped plenty of times and still works. i would highly recomend this to everybody.
Very Poor Reliability and SanDisk Support For Hardware Failure -- 2010-08-30 I have had this MP3 player only 15 months and the video has failed. Started occasionally acting up after 12 months. $62 for an MP3 player that only lasts a 1.25 years is very poor value. SanDisk will not do anything after the 12 months warranty, no repair, no exchange, no prorated exchange, nothing! I will not buy any more of their products because of the short service life and SanDisk's support policy for units just out of warranty.

 | SanDisk Sansa e250 2 GB MP3 Player with microSD Expansion Slot (Black)
Sansa E250 V2 -- 2010-08-30 This over all MP3 player was amazing and way better than any ipod, music is easy to transfer, sound quality is amazing, durable, and stylish... I would recommend this for anyone who wants to buy a cheap, better than ipod MP3 player. You can listen to radio and watch movies along with view pictures... I thought it was a great buy!... and lets not forget that it has virtually unlimited memory with an SD card slot. 5 Stars
Did not work at all. -- 2010-08-27 It did not work at all. And I returned it right away. Bad. Never buy again.

 | SanDisk Sansa Fuze 2 GB Video MP3 Player (Black)
The best iPod nano alternative - Probably better than the iPod. -- 2010-09-06 The Sansa Fuze is really a great portable media player. While its screen is a bit small for video, it is the best quality of any of the iPod alternatives out there.

I won't compare Zune, because even the cheapest Zune is still in the same category as the iPod in terms of price, build quality, and compatibility. If you get an older one, it's affordable and worthwhile. Newer models are out of the Sansa's price category.
And now, my personal take on this:
iPods are nice. They're also WAY overprice for what you get. What do you get with an iPod? A severely limited device that, while ground-breaking a decade ago, is now merely keeping up appearances for Apple. An iPod does nothing that most other portable media players can't do, except play DRM media purchased from the iTunes Store. If you're tied into a lot of media from iTunes, you're pretty much stuck with the iPod if you don't want to give it up (or circumvent it). However, if you don't have a lot of iTunes Store media, you're probably better off saving over a hundred dollars and getting a media player that allows you to insert additional storage via memory cards. Really, you're getting short-changed with the iPod these days.
Personally, after having owned several iPods, ZENs, and Coby media players (junk), I can say with confidence that the SanDisk Sansa Fuze is a great portable media player. It feels good. It looks good. It's affordable. It's upgradable. It's versatile.
If you're looking to get one, I suggest you grab the 2GB model. "But that's not a lot of space!" you're saying right now, and I agree. However, the important thing to remember is that the Fuze accepts MicroSD cards, and doesn't seem to have an upper limit. That means you can upgrade your 2GB Fuze to 4GB, 6GB, 10GB, 18GB, or 34GB. You probably have a MicroSD card laying around, and if you don't, they can be found cheap on the Internet. What's more, you can SWAP the cards in your Fuze, which means your storage is essentially UNLIMITED.
So why spend a bunch more money for the 8GB model when you can get the base device, and supply your own storage upgrades for it?
I'm telling you: You'll love the look and feel of the Fuze. It's really a great device. It comes with so-so earbuds, a USB connector, and a little sleeve to protect your Fuze. It's worth the money, and I can't stress enough that if you're sick of paying an additional one hundred dollars for iPods simply because they have the Apple logo on them, then it's time to step over to the Fuze.
You won't be sorry.
Good price, great product -- 2010-09-02 My husband dropped his first one (older model) too many times, but it had been a great item for a long time so we decided to try another one. Still like it, good price, great product, easy to use.
