Not What Pictured - There is a difference! -- 2010-02-19
The picture shows the USB cable with the smaller plug. The smaller plug is designed for the ipod/iphone touch. It clamps on and off without the need for clinching the side button.
What I received from eTech (my shipper) was not that product. But the older USB cord with the pinch buttons. On top of that when I use one of these older USB cords to sync my iPod Touch 3G it doesn't sync all songs properly. So I feel jipped. I was sent something that I did not buy.
Just because a USB cable is a standard product. Doesn't mean the items can be treated as interchangeable.
Look to see who is shipping your product. If it is eTech, do not buy.

Outstanding Accessory -- 2010-03-11
I bought this as an accessory add-on to a recent purchase of a Yamaha RX-V765BL receiver (which I also have high praise for). This is one cool accessory. The ability to see the iPod menus on your TV screen and control the iPod selection and play features via the receiver's remote control are two unbelievably convenient features. Additionally, even though it does not reference that usage of an iPhone is supported (and you will actually receive an error message on the iPhone screen when you plug it into the dock) ... it does in fact work fine with my iPhone 3Gs. The dock also performs charging of either the iPod or iPhone (but only while the receiver is turned on) so you can let the music roll on, and on, and on and not worry about running out of power. All in all, this is one of the best electronics accessories I have bought in a long time ... and on top of all of this, I paid under $50 delivered by ordering through Amazon vs. a $99 price tag on the shelf at Best Buy.
IPhone Easy -- 2010-03-11
Great product. Hooked it up to my RX-V2700 and dropped in my IPhone to the port, it immediately identified the unit and was able to play both music from the IPod but videos from You Tube. Also can watch movies from the Itunes store. Quality of the pitcher is not perfect, but pretty good. Can control the IPod from the reciever remote as well.

Sound Dock Review -- 2010-03-12
great sound for a small appliance. sound fills a big room without a problem. don't expect it to sound like a full on audio system but you will not be disappointed. you can easily tuck it behind picture frames on decor and make it seem like the music is coming from the walls. great return policy. the dock connector was causing my ipod not to play and i sent it in and got a refund without any problems. great device to have for a small apartment.
Solid reliable performance over last couple of years -- 2010-03-05
I have owned this docking station for last 2+ years and have used it fairly frequently during that time.
It works great with classic or nano iPod as well as latest iPod Touch (although it will not recharge the Touch, as the latest Touch models can be only charged through compatible USB wire charger).
I have never experienced any problems or malfunctions, and the sound quality (considering the size of the unit, and the fact, that it plays mp3s!!) is excellent and quite impressive!
There are plenty of expert reviews here to provide any additional detailed information necessary, so suffice to say I am very happy with the product and it has my high recommendation.

It works. I have been using it since Christmas (3 months) and it charges quickly everytime. I didn't expect or need anything else from it.

This wall charger is great. My iPod sits next to my bed now, happily charging while I listen to INTERNET RADIO(yes, you read that right) while I sleep. I used to listen to shortwave and that was alright(especially since I'm deaf), but INTERNET RADIO is just like the internet except it's noisy. It's a good thing I have that braille app on the iPod, otherwise I'd have no idea what 4chan sounds like. Also, I plugged my refrigerator into this wall charger and all of the food turned into unicorn meat & eggs. I didn't even know unicorns lay eggs! That's something INTERNET RADIO can't teach you!

Works with ipod Touch 3G -- 2010-03-09
I purchased this elsewhere but I just wanted to confirm that it works with my ipod Touch 3G. Someone else commented that it didn't work. I bought this for my work cubicle. It is probably too big for an office but I wanted ipod charging, ipod playing and radio. The CD was an extra bonus for when I don't have my ipod. The sound is great. The only issue I have is that I have a leather wrap around sleeve for the ipod which I have to remove to insert the ipod. I love the remote control so I can pause it when someone comes into my cube. I would recommend the system at this price.

 | Zune HD AV Dock
Broke! -- 2010-03-09
I wish I could have had a chance to actually use the thing. I plugged it in, got audio out of my stereo. Tried to get video, and it was no go. Took the Zune out, checked the tv output selection, and then reseated the Zune into the dock. Now there is no video OR audio out, and the remote doesn't even work anymore. I live overseas, and bought this in the states when visiting family. I am going to try to get the cheaper syncing dock station. After all, I already have the cables, and I already have a USB power connection. Maybe after I get one, I will come update this review.

I have been using the Zune A/V dock with my Zune HD at least 3 times a week since I got it a month or two ago. Due to the fact that we have a TVs in both the bedroom and the living room, the simplicity of moving the dock between the two rooms has been much appreciated. Its takes all of about 2 minutes to switch TVs, and that includes the time walking from room to room. Up until now I had simply been connecting my laptop to the TV with an S-video and audio output cables, rendering my not quite new laptop useless for the duration of the viewing. Now I have my laptop back and a remote that allows me to start the next episode from the comfort of my sofa. Navigating with the remote is easy and the interface is almost exactly like on the Zune itself. Picture quality is just fine for our liking, but I am no expert in that respect. Also, it works with both standard def. and HD TVs, as long as the SD TV has a RCA inputs. HD uses an HDMI cable of course.
Now for the gripes:
For some reason, you have to completely power off the Zune before you place it in the dock. I realize this is an issue with the Zune, not the dock, but it still seems relevant. I had a couple days of frustration before I found the solution in some Zune forum. I would imagine this will be eventually be fixed in a software update at some point. It is not really a big deal, but it is kind of annoying.
The other issue is the price. It just seems a little high. Don't get me wrong, the dock does what it is supposed to and does it well for the most part. It just seems a bit high to me.
Overall, I am very happy with it and can't honestly say I wouldn't buy it all over again knowing what I know now. In fact, the A/V output capability of the Zune HD has resulted in it being used almost exclusively in the house, as opposed to the car for which it was originally purchased.

One of my biggest complaints is the battery life of the iPhone. This product is a great solution (at least until apple improves the battery life). I keep it on my desk at work. I can charge the phone as well as the spare battery at the same time (only when plugged into an outlet, only the phone charges if connected to the computer). At the end of the day, I put the spare in my bag and I don't have to worry about how much I use the phone while I'm out and about. I have used it quite often and have also come to the rescue of friends with a low charge.

I wanted a very simple dock for my Ipod and iphone and a went to best buy and Ultimate electronics and all the offer me was a crappy dock that was $99. $14.52 from Amazon and it does exactly what i wanted it to do. I didn't want to fanny about with trailing wires etc, so this does the job.
Awesome iPod/iPhone dock! -- 2010-02-23
I wanted a simple dock for my iPhone that didn't cost a fortune and this is exactly it. I use this dock with a pair of decent computer speakers and it's perfect for my work space. Not only does it charge my phone but now I can also listen to any of my music on my ipod or iphone plus I can listen to my apps like Pandora and Sirius/XM without any feedback. Instead of getting the more expensive option I use this with the power block that came with my phone since I didn't need any additional wires to hook up my speakers. I highly recommend it.

The Konnet iCrado does exactly what it says. I use it as a charging dock 100% of the time. Good looks and style that match my home office. My iPhone 3G s fits on the charging jack with several types of cases.
Overpriced! Flimsy Cable connection! But it works. -- 2010-02-28
This contraption holds a standard USB/iPod cable so that you can set your iPod/iPhone onto it. Unfortunately, the cable is not built in. It is held in place by a flimsy piece of plastic. I expect it to break at any moment. It moves a bit. Combine that motion with my speck iPod touch cover and seating the iPod can get tricky. Once seated, it works as advertised. The cable that comes with this hunk of twisted metal is adequate but clearly not the quality of the OEM cable that came with my iPod Touch 3G. Because it works as advertised I rate it 3 stars. However, the value for the money is very low. It is an over priced hunk of twisted metal. In my opinion, this is a $4 cable and a $5 piece of painted metal with a $30 price tag. I should have taken the reviews I read on this item to heart.
