900MHZ Wireless Stereo Headphones900MHZ Wireless Stereo Headphones

Surprising -- 2010-02-24
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sound on these headphones for the price. Stereo separation is excellent. Not a fan of dork-sized headphones like these, but they are no heavier than wired ones like this. The hiss is easily minimized by adjustment of input volume vs. headphone volume.

Pro: Excellent sound quality. Excellent stereo separation. Excellent sound separation - e.g. iTunes, game, Skype call at same time, no muddiness. Great bass response. Dead simple setup.

Con: Occasional wireless sound glitch. Still not neural implant.

drops the signal very frustrating -- 2010-02-09
I bought these at quite a discount at a local Job Lot ($25.00) to use to listen to the news while running on the treadmill. At that price, I guess that means I shouldn't be so disappointed if it didnt pan out. At first though they were great. The sound was unexpectedly good, and they were very comfortable to wear while exercising. The controls on the headset are a bit small and do take some practice to manage. All in all I was very happy with the unit. Until day 3 that is. All of a sudden the transmitter shuts off and fails to receive the signal, blasting my ears with static! After a minute or so it picked the signal up again, and all appeared to be fine, at least initially. But not so, the transmitter shuts off sporatically throughout use, for a few seconds to as much as a few minutes. It makes no difference what is playing on the TV. It is so aggravating I have stopped using them. Maybe someone out there knows why this is or if it can be remedied!!! Otherwise off to the dump they go!!!

RCA RI503 iPod Speaker Dock SystemRCA RI503 iPod Speaker Dock System

First speaker was difficult to operate. Remote seemed to work but not always. Not sure if side buttons were working all the time either. Returned unit for a replacement and it works as it should. Sound quality is very good. Happy with replacement.

Good bang for the buck -- 2010-02-10
Maybe this works a little too well. I got this for my 14yo daughter for christmas, now I'm always telling her to turn her music down. You can hear it well throughout the house. She set it up herself without needing my technical assistance. Didn't realize there was a remote control to it which makes this even nicer.

Rca S2002 Jet Series Sports Mp3 Player (2 Gb)Rca S2002 Jet Series Sports Mp3 Player (2 Gb)

Lousy battery. Poor quality even at this price. -- 2010-02-17
All I wanted was an inexpensive mp3 player to use in the gym. My last one (Zen Nano) broke after I dropped it and I wanted something a little more robust. I assumed that the low price had to do with the lack of bells and whistles on this very basic player but apparently it is a reflection of the quality as well. The battery life is horrendous. It only lasts an hour or two in use and seems to drain over night when the device is turned off. The controls are difficult to use and I was unable to get it out of stopwatch mode with hitting reset. There is definitely a niche in the market for a tough little no frills player but this does not fill it.

Wow this product is great! -- 2010-01-31
I love my RCA. This will tune radio signals which is great for my gym that has multiple tv's each has its onw radio station for the audio. also has many diffrent arm bands so it will fit you no matter how big or small your arm is! All around great product.

Monster ZU FM XMTR300 Radioplay 300 (Designed For Zune)Monster ZU FM XMTR300 Radioplay 300 (Designed For Zune)

Works well when it does work, but doesn't last long. -- 2008-09-29
The setup and use of this FM transmitter was quick and painless. It did work well but after a few months the connector went bad. You could 'jiggle it' to get sound out of it but for what it cost you shouldn't need to do that. I bought the Scosche unit from Amazon and it's been performing just as well as the Monster - I hope this one lasts! The cord isn't as long but its long enough to do the job for my vehicle. I'd give a 5 to the Monster for its function but a 1 for reliability.

Disappointed -- 2008-08-09
Note that this product is the same as Model MBL-FX-XMTR300. You have to rely on the picture in order to validate that here.

I was disappointed with the sound when using this device with my Zune 8GB. I only needed to listen for about 10 minutes before deciding it was not for me (I gave it two different chances to perform). The music I played sounded a bit "muffled" to me--a little like I was listening to AM radio. I am not an audiophile, but I am an amateur musician--and I do listen carefully. I want to listen carefully. I found the music frustrating to listen to. Maybe I am a little spoiled by the better sound results produced using my old cassette adapter. I definitely prefer the sound produced using my cassette adapter. My next car stereo will no doubt have a stereo jack. If the cassette module in my car stereo were to break tomorrow, I would rather pay $250 to have a new stereo installed in my car than use this device. Perhaps it's just a fact that all FM transmitters are "limited". I noticed that MonsterCable did not make any guarantees about sound quality on their packaging. I suppose the device does produce "stereo sound"--but it's not nearly as nice a sound as FM radio. If you are satisfied with the sound of AM radio (I enjoy listening to AM radio on occasion), then you may be completely satisfied using this device. I hope that someone finds this review helpful.

RCA TH1802 2 GB Thumbdrive with FM Radio and Voice Recording (Black )RCA TH1802 2 GB Thumbdrive with FM Radio and Voice Recording (Black )

I'm on my second one of these -- 2009-12-26
They have a very short lifespan. I don't know whether it's a firmware problem or a hardware problem - the firmware hasn't been updated - but they tend to crash, which I didn't think was possible for a flash device. After about three months, mine refused to turn on, and my PC wouldn't recognize it when I plugged it in. My replacement sometimes hangs on booting up, or refuses to recognize certain files ("Cannot play this file") on some boots but not on others.

Other aspects:

*The interface is a bit clumsy, and it's easy to hit the wrong quadrant on the gamepad-style controls.

*Player inconsistently decides on booting whether to resume playing where you left off on shutdown, or to take you to the menu. I studied it for weeks trying to figure out what was making it choose one option or the other, but it's utterly without rhyme or reason.

*Interface has difficulty understanding file tagging. Mainly it ignores it.

*Capacity is closer to 1.8 Gb than 2.

*Sound quality is fine, but this device is quieter than other MP3 players I've used.

*The voice recorder produces unusually grainy results. I've actually gotten good results with the FM radio, although the first unit had trouble retaining presets at first.

Too much in too little a package! -- 2009-10-05
They say, "Good things come in small packages". Well, this thing fell a little short. This could have been a very nice unit, however, I think RCA made it a little too small. The biggest complaint I have is that the FM radio signal comes in very poorly. Even the strongest FM radio stations fade in and out depending on the movement of the unit. If you can find a strong signal and keep the unit stationary, fine! But if you start moving it around or put it in your pocket and start moving around, the signal will come and go. Maybe if RCA integrated an antenna in the earbud headphones, the problem could have been be resolved, who knows.

Also, this unit comes with a removable "pocket clip" to clip the unit on your belt or pocket. My removable "pocket clip" (which is not attached to the radio unit when packaged) will not clip onto the radio unit itself. Hence, your can't clip it anywhere.

This unit is too small, too delicate and too crammed with features, but what can one expect for less than $30.00?

Lyra SL5016 16 GB Digital Media Player/FM Radio with Voice Recording and Full Color Display (Black)Lyra SL5016 16 GB Digital Media Player/FM Radio with Voice Recording and Full Color Display (Black)

I love this thing! -- 2010-02-02
I buck the trend, so intentionally won't carry that device everyone else is carrying. Man, I LOVE this MP3 player! 16gb is a perfect size to carry my music, some family and vacation photos and a few videos. Looks great in the red tone I received, and nice big display. Tons of capacity for an amazing price. Charges with a USB wall adapter (less than $20) if no computer USB port is available. Music moves to device easily with drag and drop, photos, too. Videos are saved to device with the provided software, and that works seamlessly. Tested the radio but haven't used that regularly. Plan to add an audio book, too. I really like the "slider" style, so no messing with a hold feature or accidently pressing a button. My only extrememly mild complaint is that the casing is a glossy finish, which shows all the fingerprints, but it's usually in my pocket so no big deal. I added a protective screen so the display doesn't get scratched. I'd definitely recommend this MP3 player for any age, young or old (I'm 52).

Several months, no problems! -- 2010-01-12
Had it several months now. Battery seems to last forever, best I've owned. Sounds great. I only use it for mp3 and wma files.

RCA M4102 2 GB Digital Media Player/FM Radio with Voice Recording (Silver)RCA M4102 2 GB Digital Media Player/FM Radio with Voice Recording (Silver)

Good item for the price -- 2009-12-30
This mp3 player is great for the price. It's very simple to load songs, easy to use, and sounds good. The video and picture quality is poor, but you can't really expect much for only paying $40. If you want an easy to use mp3 player for mostly music, this one is great. If you want the best in quality for pictures and video, go another route. It also plays radio and allows you to record songs off the radio and store them to your music folder. I bought this for my niece as a gift and am considering one for myself now.

RCA Lyra Slider 8GB Digital Media Player (Black)RCA Lyra Slider 8GB Digital Media Player (Black)

Anyone can use this MP3 player -- 2009-12-03
This player is AWESOME in several regards.

1. The ease of use is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. It is a plug and play device. Plug it into Windows XP, Vista, or higher PC and the computer knows how to deal with it, and gets the software needed from the ROM in the slider itself. No CD to misplace or lose. Would be PERFECT for someone like me that uses a Netbook without a CD or DVD drive

2. Porting MP3s over to the device could not be easier. Go to My Computer Log into the hard drive, directory. or thumb drive and select one or multiple directories click on the option "Send to" feature and choose the Lyra Slider as the destination, sit back and relax while the directories, files in those directories, and sub-directories are copied into the Lyra verbatim. I copied at least 90 hours of audio into the slider (14 hours of music, and five unabridged audio books. In other words I threw every MP3 file I had into it and only had it half full. the 2000 songs is a low estimate in my opinion.

3. The sound was amazing. The slider has the best and most comfortable ear buds I have ever used

4. The other reviewer is absolutely correct about the Lyra DESPERATELY needing the option to have multiple play lists. because when it starts it always starts playing the first song (unless you choose some files as favorites) If you turn off the player it goes back to the file you were playing. but multiple play lists would be VERY helpful.

5. Ease of use is a peach. If you want to delete a file for some reason you can do it from the player without the need to plug the player into the computer.

6 battery life is great! I have used it more than 2o hours in the last four days and have not seen a low battery indicator yet.

This player has three real down sides (the reason I only gave it four stars.

1. No multiple play lists.

2. I have not seen a randomiser or shuffle option in the four days I have used it.

3. The biggest downer for me is that every time you turn the devicce on it takes time you want to be listening to something to generate the current tracks in the device. They should only do this AFTER the player has been plugged into the computer.

Nice, but Choose Something Else -- 2009-10-30
My husband has a Lyra MP3 player and I wanted one bigger and better than his, so when I saw this slider (because I'm a sucker for sliders) I jumped on it. The sound is good, but if you like to make you're own playlist and control the player the way you want to, don't get this. Howeer, it does play/record great off the radio.

Options: All Songs, Artist, Albums, Genres (ect; basic) but when you create (and you can create your own playlist hooked up to the computer) it doesn't list them on the player (on your computer, but not on the player) so you cannot play your own playlist. There is a "Favorites" option, but only one list, you can't have multiple favorites lists.

It's a cool device for travel to just put all your music on for the family, put it on shuffle and go on a road trip. But for everyday usage, NO. Get something with more options. Software is no good either. Coping from the music library or music folders on your computer works better.

Plain and practical -- 2010-01-23
These earphones allow me to sleep on my side, ear against the pillow as I fall asleep listening to audio books. The little pads do come off and get lost but I've not noticed any difference in feeling. The sound quality is excellent for books. They don't last forever, but the price is good. I'm purchasing a couple of sets now that will last me for year or more.

Really hard to find headphones -- 2009-07-15
I had bought a pair of these headphones at walmart and i really liked them, but I accidentally broke them by being lazy and not moving the cord while I was vacuuming and so the vacuum ripped the cord out. After that I went back to [...] in search of another but they never had them, they only had them at [...] and i wasn't going to buy something online from [...] lol. I really like this pair of headphones, they stay on your head and dont move around, they're fashionable, and the cord is very durable (except for with vacuum cleaners lol). I think the bass could be a little higher but overall a very worthy pair of headphones.

RCA Jet 4 GB Sports MP3 Player with Video, Music, FM Radio, and Sports Features (Black)RCA Jet 4 GB Sports MP3 Player with Video, Music, FM Radio, and Sports Features (Black)

1year Of User -- 2009-11-16
I bought the 2gb version of this product initially. I bought it for it's water proofing. It it built sturdy. The arm band is of good quality. I had various problems with it. Some times it wouldn't start. It would keep initializing the database and would finally start after about 10 minues. The unit would reset. RCA took it back under warranty and sent me the 4gb version. It worked well for around 7 months. One day I loaded new songs on the unit. The next time I started it, it said 'initializing' and never got past that point. My PC no longer recognizes it. I'm not able to reset it. I don't recommend this product. You might get a year out of it. For the price I would expect to get 2 years.

Bad At Any Price -- 2009-09-20
Compared to the Sony player and Creative Zen it is a piece of junk, but those aren't rugged enough for my workouts (I've lost both, to rain and over-use, respectively).

This player does *NOT* have a playlist option, at least not as most MP3 users would understand the term. Yes, you can build a "favorites" list from scratch as you play songs, but you cannot import a playlist you created in Windows Media Player (WMP). Also, the player does not fully recognize the information from WMP, so for example the songs on some albums show up in *alphabetical* order, not in album order. This happened both when I used WMP and when I used the software that came with the device. That's pretty unbelievable.

The buttons are clumsy to operate, good luck doing it on a cold day, with or without gloves.

Bottom line: I'm returning it. "Beggar's Banquet" is not supposed to start with "Dear Doctor."
