 | Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones
For the price, nothing better -- 2010-09-02 I've paid twice as much on other headphones with half the sound quality. I gave it a 4 star rating overall because of one thing - they're a bit tight. I used to use them at work, but after wearing them for an hour your ears go numb. they don't fit around your ears, but rather push right on them. But, like I said, for enjoying music, nothing compares for this price.
Great sound, great price -- 2010-09-01 I just got these today and they sound great. I can hear the bass and treble both equally well. However, I do not have a very experienced ear, so I do not know how these headphones stack up against others. I can't yet say how rugged they are, but so far they seem solid.

 | Panasonic RP-HT21 Lightweight Headphones with XBS Port
Comfortable, affordable and great sound -- 2010-09-02 The Earbud type of headphones that come with MP3 players are not my cup of tea.The sound quality is poor and they hurt my ears.
I discovered these Panasonic ones by accident at Fry's but was a bit skeptical because they're so cheap.
I was blown away by the sound quality of the RP-HT21. I had tried more expensive ones with not nearly the sound quality of these.
I'm so glad Amazon still carries them since they're hard to find and there's no Fry Electronics near where I currently live. They were often out of stock of them, anyway.
Cheap Headphones Cheap Quality -- 2010-08-30 I needed a pair of headphones since my last headphones had a short in them after almost a year of use. Well, I purchased these strictly out of economics reasons. I didn't believe I was getting the greatest headphones, but neither did I think I would have a short in them within the first 4 hours. This is exactly what happened. I took the headphones out of the box at school to use them. Before class I put them in my bookbag. After class, I am having to tilt my head one direction to receive any sound at all and the feed will only come in the right ear. What a peice of garbage, couldnt even last a half a day. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

 | Koss PortaPro Headphones with Case
PortaPros very popular in Paris -- 2010-09-03 Seems like more than half the headphones you see on the Paris Metro are Koss PortaPro. They sound great for the money.
Great sound quality, be ready to replace the connector. -- 2010-08-30 First, let me say that these headphone are extremely comfortable (once you get used to putting them on, takes some time to learn how to do it without snagging your hair) and they sound extremely good (among the best sounding sub-$200 headphones I have ever owned). Second, let me say that unless you are willing to replace the connector, you should shy away. It will break, you will have to go to radio-shack, you will have to solder a new one on. If you don't want to do that then don't buy them. I still recommend them to anyone willing to spend the hour or so patching them up because they really are the best headphones for travel in the world. You can tell because people have been buying them over and over again, despite this flaw. They really are that comfortable and that good-sounding.

 | Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo Headphones
GGGGGGGGGGRRREEEEAAAATTTT -- 2010-09-02 Pro:
Comfortable
Loud
Great bass
Great highs
Great lows
Cheap and affordable
Cons:
Structure is weak may break if dropped
When volume is up at max cant hear anything else
very good -- 2010-09-01 I got these today and I was really happy with them. Before I ordered them I was really nervous about getting them since I don't often order things online, mostly because I'm really nervous about the way they'll turn out. I've wanted a pair of headphones like this for a while just to have at home (because of their size, they're best to use just at home) and I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger. They work great! The cord is super long so you have to kind of tie it up but it's fine. Plus, you can walk across the room without unplugging them from a computer or whatever you're using. The sound is soft like another user said, but it can be loud!! I just plugged it into my iPhone and it works great. I love feeling like I'm surrounded with music and these headphones definitely do the trick. The only thing is that people can often hear what you're listening to. For me this doesn't really matter, as I'll be using them at home, but for other people this might be something to think about. Otherwise, they're really great, especially for the price. AND SO COMFORTABLE!

 | Koss KSC75 Portable Stereophone Headphones
Good on-the-ear Headphones for the price -- 2010-09-04 In-the-ear head phones bother my ears after a while which is why I like these on-the-ear style headphones or ear pieces.
best headphone under $20, yes! -- 2010-09-01 I love the sound these headphones are producing. The high is crispy clean and the low is bassy enough for any kind of music. I own the AKG K26P headphone which has more bass than the Koss's.
I think they are simply the best headphones under $20 out there.
The only thing I don't like about these headphones is the appearance!

 | Beats Studio by Dr. Dre - Hi-Def Noise-Canceling Over-Ear Headphones
Very nice headphones, I love them. -- 2010-09-03 Before I start my review, I'd like to say that I am not an audiophile, but I do love music. So this review is towards the regular listeners who love music.
I received these two days ago, and I was really anticipating its arrival, and I am very satisfied with these product.
Since many like concise reviews, I will list the Pros and Cons.
Pros
-Very good packaging (If anybody cares about that)
-Great audio quality, well balanced and you can really feel the "dimensions" of music
-Sexy design
-Extremely Comfortable
-Good case, not the best, but will still get do the work of protecting the headphones
-Good extras (mute button, 1/8 to 1/4 jack, two cables (one with control talk, the mic quality is impressive), and thanks for the AAA batteries, Monster)
Cons
-Noise canceling isn't as effective as I hoped it would be (i listen to my ipod nano 5g on about 25~45%)
-The hinges do not seem too strong (and one side of the headphones do not line up perfectly)
-Very expensive
-Can't function without batteries
-Sound leaks very badly (50% on ipod nano 5g)
The overall build quality is pretty good, but I personally believe that if treated roughly it may break, especially around the hinges.
The build quality on the hinges could be improved.
I would recommend the studios to the people who have the money. If the cost is too much, I wouldn't buy these, as there are many lower-cost headphones with decent sound.
solid headphones, pricey. -- 2010-08-31 i got these as a gift about a year ago and they've been great. i can't really complain about the sound quality, they're really good. although you can get a pair of some grados for a lot cheaper, the dres have the wow factor and the 'style'. as for mobility, they're great, they fold up and come with a convenient little case. they're easy to use, but eventually you get tired of wearing them, but they're comfortable enough. the item quality was good, until about 5 months in when the piece of plastic above the earcup on the outside fastened on by the screws straight snapped off, almost as if the screws wore through the plastic and created bigger holes than the screws were meant to be in. they were obviously manufactured for about 60 dollars (of raw component price) and then marked up with a logo of a known musician.
these headphones are like buying the designer jeans of the audio world. so if you've got the money, you wont be disappointed. but if you're on a budget do yourself a favor and get a pair of high end seinheisser phones or a pair of grados. if you are not familiar with grado, the grado SR125 is a good model to look at.

 | Audio-Technica ATH-M30 Professional Headphones
Excellent Quality and Value! -- 2010-08-28 This is not an expert review, but is meant for those who like decent headphones to listen to mp3's, etc. that will maximize so-so equipment without costing hundreds. I ordered this to replace a Koss HQ1 vibration stereophone (battery-powered bass enhancement) and wondered if I'd suffer a fall-off in bass, but the ATH-M30 is even better! The sound is crisp, clear and the volume is more powerful than the Koss - I've had to turn my volume/equalizer settings down.
On WinAmp I can hear much more clearly than before what happens when I adjust the equalizer. If I pick the preselectable "headphones" preset, which trims back the midrange volume around 600 Hz and gradually ramps it back up to around 16 KHz, and then kick up the base end, it almost makes my ears vibrate.
I tried it out on mostly string music (Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusic), piano music (Chopin's Revolutionary Etude), listened to the clear high frequencies in Bach's Violin Concerto #2 in E Major, and then the real test: Linda Ronstadt's "Silver Threads and Golden Needles," where the clear and distinct drums, bass, steel guitar, fiddle, and voice left me finding no fault with these headphones.
Of course, it's not the same as "live" (I play in classical piano in adult music recitals), but it comes close enough for me.
Additionally, I like the design and construction. The curved part that fits over the top of head is the only spring needed to force each headphone to seat itself in the proper position - as opposed to other headphones that have a spring inside a hinge that can break or weaken. The plug - a 1/8" stereo plug that comes with a screw-on 1/4" stereo plug - has a strain-relief spring over the last inch of line to prevent kinking and breakage.
Others have complained the headphones fit a little tight. That is true, although the cups fit over my ears so it doesn't bother me and actually leaves me free to move around without worrying about it falling off - the cord's a nice 11 feet long.
I ordered this a week ago for $39.21 and see it's now $48.84 but I guess it's still a sale considering it's $119 list price! If an unexpected problem arises in the future, I'll edit this review.
great headphones -- 2010-08-24 Really great headphones. Comfortable and blocks out most other noises.
The sound is very good to me.

 | Skullcandy Hesh Headphones Viking Illustration, One Size
Beautiful on the outside, cheap as hell on the inside. -- 2010-08-24 When I saw these unique viking headphones I just HAD to have them. With a beautiful design and the label of skullcandy I decided to splurge and purchase this bad boy. Well right off the bat I noticed it was made of cheap plasticy material but I really didn't care. With awesome graphics it still looks pretty well...pretty. Then i put them on and noticed right away it was pretty tight and when I started playing music the bass (which i love) was weak-sauce. Unless I put it at max volume the bass was hard to notice. Thats when I noticed that ever time I make any sort of motion, from looking around, to eating to even a slightly tilting my head the cups would make a loud screeching noise as the plastic rubs an flexes. My god its SO annoying and disrupts any music you play. My recommendation is that if you have to buy from skull candy get some ear buds or shop somewhere else.
Great for the Those of us who Drop thngs, Need our headphones in the Real World, and Suffer from Shallow Pockets -- 2010-08-08 First, I want to say that this is not a rocket we are building or a computer that is supposed to save us from ourselves. It is a pair of headphones and it doesn't need any special features. It only needs to carry sound and do it well, and reflect the price it is doing it for.
And looking nice is a plus, too.
I also need to take my headphones out of the house. It would be nice to be able to say that expensive babies are durable but, in reality, they normally aren't. and, honestly, I don't want things i can't play rough in. So, if that isn't you, then this should be helpful right away because you know you are not listening through a piece of household artistry.
I have a pair of these in this color and a pair or the red ones as well, and both have been great for their price. I HAVe heard better, sure, but they have been a lot more than these babies. Triple, to be precise, and they did not give me that good-to-the-last drop feeling.
These are also durable for me - I have a thing about big headphones and dropping them; they are not always easy to keep on when you like to do things that oftentimes require a hat. Accordingly, I have seen the headphones go through a lot of "nooo" moments and live, and only get a little mark on them when another brand would have popped apart. I have seen some opinions that were not of this caliber but I think they do their job well. I go out and I walk in the sun, hunt for things in a lot of farmland and some nursery (tree) areas, and in the conrete exotica as well. So, they take a lot of different falls and endure a lot of dffereing elements.
And the sound quality - it is nice stuff. I use an I-Pod with them quite a bit (I have a third generation I-Pod classic and think people should include what they use as well as the headphones that are plugged in) and do not auto-stream the wsound quality. This means that some tracks are better than others, and I can tell it. With low quality headphones I don't have this difference, and these give me the option. so, it is a nice thing.
If the audio is good on something, this picks up all the workings I want pointed out. The little sampling sounds, the tweeks and the whistles; everything is there with no maladies in sight.
Basically, if you want a good pair of headphones and eye the cost, then get these. You WILL like 'em; like em more than you thought you would. I know a lot of people are critical of these types of items, too, but I am just a person that wears headpones and wears them a lot and I can say that these work.
The current pair has almost six months of wear on them if all the time they were used was compiled together. That says a lot to me.

 | Skullcandy Hesh Headphones NorCal, One Size
Love the design -- 2010-02-19 ** I purchased these directly from Skullcandy, NOT on amazon. Just writing the review to help shoppers! :)
I am a professional DJ and needed a quick pair of headphones for an upcoming gig. I was looking for a new, cool, INEXPENSIVE pair of headphones. I have some Skullcandy Smokin' Bud earphones and really liked those, so thought I'd give their DJ ones a try.
In all I must say these are a decent pair of headphones. In a gig my headphones are on most of the night. I'd have to say these are NOT the most comfortable headphones I've used. I, PERSONALLY, cannot wear them for long periods of time. Also, they are a bit bulky. They are not as portable as headphones I'm used to.(Thought they were foldable) The material is NOT strong. (Plastic) Although, I've managed to keep mine in excellent condition, I cannot risk beating them down like my Pioneer or Stanton headphones.
The sound quality is OKAY. I feel for the size of the drivers, there could be more bass. The volume adjustment is nice, though I never use it. THE BIGGEST DOWN SIDE TO THESE HEAPHONES IS THE LENGTH OF THE CORD! Honestly Skullcandy, is a FOOT or so of cable going to get me anywhere?! They provide an extension, but that itself extends the cord a few more feet.
In all, for the price it is an OKAY pair. I could have honestly purchased a really nice set from Stanton for $10 less, but wanted to try these. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the design and give 5 Stars there. Otherwise, hope this review helps!
awesome headphones!!!! -- 2010-01-22 These headphones are awesome!!! Stellar bass, great highs and low and overall great sound. totally worth the price, and skullcandy has the best warranty, so even if they do break from misuse, you can still get a new pair. I have no clue were the negative reviews are coming from and the volume control is also a big plus

 | Sennheiser HD-555 Audiophile Headphones
Rocking Headphones! -- 2010-08-24 These headphones have to be heard to be believed! They deliver fantastic sound even at barely audible volumes. The bass is especially both smooth and thumping at the same time for a very pleasing audio experience. And I must say that the package is attractive too. These headphones look truly space-age and have that 'premium' look. Worth the price. And they feel great over your head and on your ears because of the ample, soft padding, even for extended listening sessions. I bought these to replace an aging Koss UR-20 set of cans which I'd thought provided fairly good sound but the Sennheiser cans blow those out of the water and I can't believe I waited so long to get these. A must-have for music aficionados, you owe it to your ears (and your music) to experience them.
The only ding I could give these 'phones is that their default pin is the 'fat' stereo pin that goes directly into audio receivers, so you need an adapter (which is included) to convert it into a regular stereo pin to use with your iPod, computer or other music player, which adds some bulk to the plugged-in end. This doesn't bother me since I'm primarily using these at work with my computer and the added bulk doesn't bother me but it might to someone who's looking to use them for, say, jogging or working out.
Great Classic -- 2010-08-23 At first these headphones have a very strong treble bu after around 150 hours of use that decreases. They have a wonderful soundstage and provide great surround sound experience.
For those interested in surround sound headphones, these WILL provide surround sound no gimmicks or tricks, as long as it stays STEREO not MONO. I can easily hear pin drops in these without turning up my volume at all and being able to tell the exact point where they dropped.
Overall these headphones are great for those that use them for entertainment, they are bass and treble high but provide good clarity. These do NOT need an AMP to drive them, they worked well with RCA to Stereo connectors with no loss in quality of audio.
