 | JBuds Hi-Fi Noise-Reducing Ear Buds (Black)
Comfy, but definitely not noise reducing. -- 2010-09-03 These earbuds are comfortable. Nice that they come with three different sizes of the covers. Don't know how they can be called noise reducing though - as another reviewer wrote, I also have noise reducing cotton balls. lol
The one good thing is that if someone is standing next to me, they cannot hear my music. That is a huge thing for me. I ride the train every day and nothing is more annoying than being forced to listen to someone's music secondhand from a bad pair of headphones.
You Get What You Pay For -- 2010-09-03 I guess it must be a new trend to call just about every pair of earbuds "noise reducing". Yes, they reduce noise. Just as anything you would stick in your ears would reduce noise. I have noise reducing q-tips and noise reducing cotton balls that work just as well. If you want noise reducing earbuds, there are not the ones. I get more noise reduction by sticking my fingers in my ears.
As for the quality of the product itself, all I can say is that you get what you pay for. I would recommend these for children or for people who aren't that concerned with the quality of sound. They, of course, will not compete with some of the more expensive products on the market, but they work fine. I'll keep mine at my office for mandatory web casts.
Overall, better than I expected for the price but nothing to get too excited about.

 | Coby CVE92 Isolation Stereo Earphones
WOW amazing for under $6 -- 2010-09-03 I must say I was not expecting much from these. For $6 one would not, but I bought because of all the good reviews.
The sound isolation is excellent, be careful wearing them while walking you don't want to get run over by a car LOL.
The sound is impressive. They are better IMHO than the ones that come with the itouch. They seems very durable but I have only had them for a month. They are also very comfortable. My wife does not agree about the comfort part, but for me they are (I am about 5-9") normal ears LOL. She is however like 5-2" they are kind of big in her ears.
You can't go wrong with these :)
Cheers
You don't get what you paid for -- 2010-09-01 These headphones are honestly the same as all other cheap sub - $50 dollar headphones in that they work perfectly fine with good sound quality for the price....UNTIL they magically break on you for no reason (even with indoor use only). These ones lasted me about 6 months before the sound started to cut out in the earbuds. You have to hold the wire in a certain position or else you will get sound in only one ear or none.
In the short run...it seems like it is a good deal, but you should really consider the long-run quality of these things. Spend an extra $20 or so on reputable headphones that last you years rather than spending this much 2-3 times a year. It may seem odd to be buying headphones that are more expensive than video-games...but anyone in finance or econ would tell you its the better choice.

 | Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic
Great for iPhone replacement headphones -- 2010-09-01 (This review is strictly for the headphones sold by The OEM Shop for $15.98. There is a large variability of price and quality among the headphones categorized as "Apple Earphones with Remote & Mic")
I am one of the few people who actually like the standard iPhone headphones. I liked them so much that they fell apart after a year. Buying a new pair on Amazon is a little scary because I wasn't sure what I would get. I ordered these from the OEM Shop and fortunately, they appear to be the real deal. There's no review hear for sound quality or comfort...my review is that if you are looking for headphones identical to the ones that come with the iPhone, these are a five-star match.
Great experience! -- 2010-08-31 Got exactly what I wanted and as quick as I wanted it Great experience!

Ok, For some time -- 2010-09-04 I was expecting great things from this product for i owned the J2's and of course i was right on the spot. Even now they are good but am not sure that they will be able to last as long as the J2's for i use them quite a bit.
Sounds Clear as Mud -- 2010-09-03 Ive put these through 48 + hours of burn in and multiple listening sessions. They normally you have to burn in in ear headphones to achieve greater bass by breaking in the diaphragms (give them a bit more flex).Needles to say thease do not suffer from missing BASS but rather any sort of clear mids or highs (no EQ settings). It sounds like I have a a little water in my ears they are that muddy. On my iPod I had to turn the Treble Enhancer EQ on for the sound to balance out a bit.
Ive had better $15 $20 $40 $99 and $150 in ear headphones and could not recommend these even if they were $10. You are better off looking elsewhere.

 | JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating Earbuds (Onyx Black)
Worth Repurchasing -- 2010-09-03 Like many users, I am hard on my earphones. I use them everyday with my laptop, dvd player, ipod, phone, etc. I sleep in them and abuse them more than they deserve. Thus, it has become a necessity to buy and re-buy cheap headphones as they fail. These earphones have so far been the best I've found after trying out the many options at Walgreens and Walmart. While these have broken as well, they have not broken as quickly as others and are much more comfortable than most. I have continued to buy these from Amazon based on their comfort alone. I am not in pain after sleeping in them, which is remarkable for any pair of earphones.
Pros: Last somewhat longer than other earphones, supremely comfortable for sensitive ears, adequate sound quality, available in many appealing colors, cheap
Cons: Cheap earphones still break quickly after much use
Meh. -- 2010-09-01 Pros: Sounds ok for the price
Cons: Flimsy and will likely break in short period of time. Kind of ugly. Came in a bag.
This item is ok. The sound quality is less than spectacular, but adequate. I'm 5'8" and the wire is definitely long enough to use with a mp3 player while walking. I can tell by the quality of the wiring and the reinforcement at the juncture of the ear bud and wire that the sound will probably drop out of one of the earbuds before I would like, but I suppose you get what you pay for. The earbuds also cause my ear canal to itch; this has never happened to me before. I wouldn't discourage or encourage anyone to buy this product. It's not a terrible buy, but I'll spend my money on another product when I need a new headphones.

 | Sennheiser CX300-B Earbuds (Black)
Good, unless they touch something. -- 2010-09-02 I got these because my old $25 Sony Fontopia buds seemed to be on their last leg after about 5 years of daily use. I was pretty optimistic about these, because they've gotten decent reviews and because I have some excellent sennheiser headphones for my computer.
I got them and tested them out, and the sound quality was good! It was about the same as the Sony's, maybe a little bit better, but not as good external noise cancellation. I used them for a few days happily, the only problem being this clicking noise on the right one whenever I pushed it into my ear (small noise, by sharp and not comfortable when its right next to your eardrum.)
Then the bads started coming. I noticed quickly that the cord was a bit short. Some of my pants have fairly deep pockets, and the cord would stretch to its length in them. I'm about 6'0, so about average guy height. The cord just needs to be about 2" longer. Then, I was walking into a room, and the cord got caught on the door handle and pulled a bit. It didnt even pull them hard enough to loosen them from my ears or my mp3 player. I have done this dozens of times with the Sony buds, much harder as well... no problems. These Sennheisers immediately messed up, though. The sound goes in and out with the slightest movement, so I have to constantly hold the cord in a very exact position if I want my music to be more than a whisper. Not really acceptable, even for a cheap pair of buds. Maybe mine are defective, but I have to say they are by FAR the least durable buds I have ever had, including extremely cheap free ones.
So, sound quality is good.
Durability is beyond awful. Again, maybe just defective, but not acceptable.
Don't waste your money. -- 2010-09-01 OK, take 2. My original review of this product got hijacked somehow. After writing it, I checked back a couple hours later and my screen name and original title were there, but my review got replaced with what seemed like some guy's journal entry. It had absoluterly nothing to do with this or any other product. Strange.
Anyway - as mentioned in my original posting, this review is more a condemnation or earbud headphones in general than the Sennheiser CX300-B, which I decided to try after my "over ear" style Sony noise canceling headphones went on the fritz. My past experience with earbuds was not good, although I had only ever tried the type that come with the iPod and not the "ear plug" type that go in the ear canal, like the Sennheiser CX300-B. However, having owned a pair of Sennheiser over the ear headphones back in the 70's, my impression of the company and their products was good. So, I decided to take the plunge. What a mistake.
After opening the package (no easy feat - damn sound welded plastic clamshells!), I popped on the medium-sized bud covers (appropriate for my size ears) and inserted them into my ears. I turned on my mp3 player and listened for a few minutes. The sound was adequate - nothing spectacular. I did notice they had decent bass and did block some external noise. I kept listening as I stepped outside to go to the store. I couldn't believe what I heard. Every step I took was amplified in my head - like a booming bass drum. Even the gentle bumping of the cord against my chest was amplified - a constant thump, thump, thump that was impossible to ignore. As it turns out, the very feature that blocks a modicum of external noise, also amplifies any sound that travels through the body. Even breathing is amplified! As I walked, it sounded as though I was listening to someone breathe over a PA system! I had hoped to use these while running, but there's no way that's going to happen. In fact, the problem with amplified sound is so bad, I won't use them at all.
I am very disappointed in this product and will never buy any ear plug style headphones again. I don't understand why anyone would sell them, let alone use them. They may have great sound reproduction, but the listening experience is totally ruined by the sounds that get amplified through the body. It amazes me that people buy similar style products that sell for hundreds of dollars. The only way you can enjoy the sound they produce is to sit perfectly still. I'm glad I only paid about $16 for these things. I won't return them because it'll be too much of a hassle - probably cost more to ship them back than I paid.
BTW - The photo of the product is misleading. The cord looks thicker than it actually is and there's no way it can be coiled as is shown in the photo. It gives the impression the cord is more supple and flexible that it really is. Also, one end of the cord is longer than the other. Not sure why this is, but the thinness of the cord makes it prone to kinking and tangling. In fact, since one side of the cord is longer than the other, it makes it even more prone to tangling.
Bottom line - steer clear of the Sennheiser CX300-B and all ear plug style earbuds.

 | Sennheiser CX 200 In Ear Canal Ear bud
Live up to the name of Sennheiser -- 2010-09-01 I was suspicious about the complains on this review board. What better way than to try it out. I bought this and wahla... the sound quality of a Sennheiser. Nothing more, nothing less. It'd be nice if these guys can come out with speakers like this and beat the hyped up price of a bose.
wash and dried -- 2010-02-16 just found these after looking for a few days. My wife pulled them out of the pocket of my jeans -- she was folding laundry. I immediately plugged them in to see if they still worked and I was impressed that sounded the same as before the wash and dry.

 | Klipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating Headphones
Tinny Highs and Poor Bass Performance -- 2010-09-03 I purchased these headphones after reading several reviews online. The tapered ear buds have a good fit and make long listening sessions comfortable. They have a slider that allows you to adjust the size of the Y between the ear buds similar to the ear buds that come with the Ipod. This slider really helps the ear buds stay in place when I'm working out. That being said the sound wasn't what I was expecting. The sound seemed biased to the high end with fairly poor bass response. They have a good layered sound in the mid and high ranges but many of the highs are a bit too high or Tinny.
Better than my old ones -- 2010-09-02 I bought these to replace my Shure earbuds, whose wire had broken. The bass on these Klipschs is so much better. They also block out noise pretty well when I'm on the noisy subway. I don't wear them during workouts, but they block out noise so well, that I can hear my own footsteps while walking, so I suspect the "thuds" are even louder while running. I like them, but I'm concerned about how skinny the wires are. Only time will tell.
