Hard to believe you can get these iPhone Dock Connectors this cheap! -- 2010-08-31
I was very skeptical about these since they cost more than 10 dollars anywhere else. I bought 3 for ~6 dollars and the shipping was free!
They shipped fast and when they arrived they had a plastic band to keep the cables neat. I was SHOCKED at the quality, it appears to be virtually identical to my iPhone USB Dock Connector except for the Apple logo. But it does say "Designed by Apple in California" printed on the cord. So it's either 100% authentic, or an extremely good replica.
Either way you can't beat this price for working iPod/iPhone USB dock cables. I told my friends to stock up while the price is cheap, because anyone with an iPod or iPhone knows you can always use a few more of these cables for charging/syncing your phone in the car or at work etc.

I wasn't sure whether the low price indicated a cheap and worthless product - but I was pleasantly surprised. The dock connector works great with the iPhone 3G and I have no complaints!

I purchased this USB cable for my iTouch 2G. It charges my iTouch fine and is recognized by my computer and iTunes. The cable looks EXACTLY like the one that came with my iTouch. It even pulls out instead of having to push the sides in that I read in other reviews. The length is also the exact length of the Apple USB cable. I purchased mine from The OEM Shop. I am very satisfied with this product and especially the price!

I ordered this cable for my ipod touch and it didn't work so I traded cables with a friend who has an iphone because it worked for him.

almost ruined my mac -- 2010-08-28
terrible product! almost ruined my mac!!! i plugged it in and started to sync and charge my shuffle. a couple minutes later and noticed that the area around the charger including my mac and my shuffle was really hot!!! and it wasn't even charging or anything. i do not recommend this for anyone!

Product worked ok to charge the Ipod, but i thought i would be able to use other USB chargers with this one and it is so weak in the car that it wont charge my phone or anything else from it. For what its worth it was okay, it was very cheap and shipped fast, but its nothing special and not high quality.

This product is great. Works with my Ipod and my son's MP3 player. Now I don't have to turn on my computer just to charge these devices. And the car attachment makes roadtrips even better.

Didn't work for me -- 2010-09-03
The first one of these they sent out would charge, but would not FM transmit. They kindly sent me out a second one, and that one both charged and FM transmitted, but the frequency that works for me (93.7) took a good minute or so to scroll up to and it reset to 88.1 every time I turned off the car. As I get in and out of the car 10-12 times a day, that simply was not going to work for me. They offered to refund my money if I returned it, but frankly, for a 7 dollar item it was more hassel than it was worth. I bought a different brand from someone else.

ok this is very simple. do not buy this because the sound quality is terrible (all staticy on every station) and you will only be able to turn it up 1/10 of your normal volume

I own a multi car socket adapter with a USB slot that won't charge my iPad. I own the Verizon Droid car charger with USB slot that won't charge my iPad. After doing some research I found out that most USB car adapters only have an output of 1 amp, the iPad needs at least 2.0 amps to charge. The Griffin Technology PowerJolt Power Charger has 2.1 amps which is perfect to use with the iPad. It even comes with the standard Apple USB dock connector that works with all iPods, iPhones and the iPad - you don't need to carry your original connector, just leave the included one in the car.
I really like how it is short in length (low profile)and does not stick out or bend up like most other car adapters on the market.
Now when I have long driving trips I can listen to my music on my iPad and not worry about draining the battery. It will charge even when your Apple product is in use.
If you are like me and own an iPad - this is a must have!
A manufacturing flaw ? -- 2010-08-24
I have been buying Griffin chargers for years. Have never been disappointed until I bought two of these.
The Dock connecter end is normally branded with white etchings or the Griffin logo so that it is easy to know the side orienation correctly when pushing the connector into the dock. The problem is that these are 'blank'on both sides and is impossible to know the correct orientation. Either you have to mark this yourself or stand the risk of damage to your connectors at either end wich can be very unpleasant.
Normally the design and QA at Griffin is very good. Not so in the case of these chargers.
They are also rather large and stick out a long way from your lighter socket.
